The time is getting closer and I am getting sooooo nervous and excited!!:) I want to be sure I have everything I need. Could someone please give me ideas of what items to have on hand for after my surgery? Also, do u recommend a surgical bra with the strap attached or unattached? What's the difference between using an ice pack and a heating pad? I've seen some use the cold packs and some use the heating pads so just wondering!!

My doc sent me home right after the surgery, so I didn't need anything for right after and he also recommended no ice packs or heat because it hinders recovery, but I see lots of others on here using ice. Also, he gave me a sports bra to wear for 2 weeks and it didn't have straps.

Never use heat pad on any surgery most people use it for their backs because you cant really do anything except lay on bed for the first few days. I got a few ice packs but i couldn't use them because they were too heavy on chest they hurt...luckily we had an ice machince from my husbands shoulder surgery it circulates ice water through a very light weight pad. My doctor's office provided the surgical bras. I did have to wear an ace wrap for 3weeksyou straight it was awful but i dont mind now because my results look so great to me anyway...your surgeon should provided you with before and after advice...

Two more days!!! Ahhhhh! I have so much to do yet I'm just laying around...I'm nervous and worried, but more excited than anything! Having doubts here and there but I've wanted this for many years so just gotta stop having doubts. I'm trying to prepare myself for the different stages I'll be going thru post-op. Trying to expect the worst but hoping for the best! So thankful for this site and others, at they have helped me greatly by getting prepared and knowing what to expect! Wish me luck!!:)

My surgery is less than 5 hrs away!???? Can't believe how fast this came. I've wanted this for years, I'm so nervous yet excited. Hoping everything goes smooth and that recovery is short and sweet. Wishful thinking. Wish me luck ladies!!!!
