Like everyone else on this site I have always wanted boobs and they never came in. I have been diabetic since I was 10 so I always assumed this wasn't an option for me. Last year I had to have an eye procedure and told myself if I could have an injection in my eyeball while I was awake I could do this. I am so glad! I'm only 8 days post op and my boobs are gorgeous! Dr Salemy and his whole staff have been very professional and convened with my health and very helpful getting very thing I needed from my pcp and endocrinologist. I wanted to do my surgery in January but Dr salemy wanted me to wait until my a1c was at a better number. I was upset I had to wait but I am so glad I did. I haven't had hardly any pain just a bit of discomfort. I think the worst part is constipation from pain pills so I quit taking them after 3 days. No Tylenol or anything. I feel great!

hey, so I am also type 1 diabetic and have been having a bit of hesitation due to concerns about healing. I don’t know if you check up on here very often, but if so... I’d love to chat with you a little about how long it took to get your a1c down or just how much more time did you have to wait until you got everything in check for surgery. a few other quick questions. If you have any advise for this itty bitty type 1 Betty I’d love to hear it.

They healed so fast! It was worth the effort. Just make sure you find a good doctor who has dealt with diabetics before.
Welcome to the community, and thanks for sharing your experience. You look amazing! Congratulations :) How big are your implants?
