Unlike a lot of women on this site, I've only really considered getting a breast augmentation for the past 6 months. I always wanted bigger boobs, but always thought the cost was more prohibitive than it actually is. My surgery is a little less than a week away, and as of right now the plan is to get 385cc high profile implants. Since my consultation several months ago I've been agonizing over size, specifically very worried about going too big. I have a somewhat petite frame, being 5'5'' and 120 lbs, and want something that looks natural and doesn't look top-heavy or obvious. My current bra size is a 32b. After trying on sizers at the surgeon's office on two separate occasions, I decided on 385cc's. At the sizings I was torn between 385cc and the slightly smaller 360cc, but after hearing from so many women that they wish they had gone bigger, I decided to go with the bigger size. However, I am still really nervous that I'm going too big and that they will look unnatural on my frame. Any reassurance or feedback from women with my measurements would be greatly appreciated!

I had Dr. Salemy for a different procedure but one thing I can say is he is more about natural appearance enhancement. If those were the sizes he recommended then you should be fine. I had the augmentation done with another good surgeon six years ago. The first time I had the moderate plus 360 but after six months they wouldn't drop. I went back to have them lowered so I decided to go bigger since I thought why not if they are going to have go in and lower them. I regret it so much. They are way too big and all you see is boobs because I'm only 5'3. I wish I would have stayed at 360. I was originally a B cup before the implants. The 360 put me at a nice d cup. Now I'm boarder line double to triple d and clothes are difficult to find. If you want natural then I would recommend 360 because I too have high profile with my second and I wish I never had. I'm just waiting until I need to replace them. Good luck!

Day of surgery

I'm actually writing this one week post-op, but since I've found other women's detailed reviews of the days after surgery so helpful, I figured I would go back and write about my experience! I was super nervous the night before and morning of the big day. I was feeling like it was such a drastic measure to take for just wanting bigger boobs, and I hope I hadn't rushed myself into anything I would regret! But I calmed myself down by reminding myself that I'd been wanting this for several months and just trusting my decision. My surgery was scheduled for 10am, so I was fortunate in that I didn't have to wait long the day of. I checked in at Dr. Salemy's outpatient surgery center, and my boyfriend and I were taken into a room where a nurse checked my blood pressure (which was quite high!), and asked me a series of questions about my health.. Then the PS came in, went over the details of what we were doing, and then drew the 'roadmap' on my chest for the surgery. Next it was time to meet the anesthesiologist, who explained the anesthesia I would be having during the procedure. And then it was time to wait.....I was a bundle of nerves at this point, and everything just felt so surreal, almost as if I was on autopilot. After maybe 10 minutes of waiting a nurse came to take me to the operating room, I said goodbye to my boyfriend and I was off! In the operating room I was instructed to lie down, with three or four people bustling around prepping. The anesthesiologist put an IV in my arm, I felt a funny taste in my mouth, and the last thing I remember was him putting an oxygen mask over my face. I woke up about an hour later in the recovery room with a fair amount of pain, but nothing unmanageable, maybe a 6 out of 10.
At this point my boyfriend came in and the nurse gave him several instructions for the following few days. I tried to also listen but was still pretty out of it! Then the nurse helped me sit up (ouch!) and put me in a wheelchair to take me down to the car. The ride home was unpleasant, every bump in the road painful and I was starting to get nauseous from the movement and probably from the anesthesia. But we made it home and it was straight to the recliner, where my boyfriend fed me some soup and gave me my oxycodone. To be honest that first day was pretty rough, with my pain sometimes an 8 out of 10 even on the strong meds, and a fair amount of nausea. But my wonderful boyfriend took great care of me and I made it through the day! I actually slept fairly well that night, and woke up the next day feeling much better.

For me planning for years is not an option. I get bored and/or totally change plans (like moving abroad).
I hope you will get the result you are looking for and that you find loads of useful information here :)
Best wishes with the operation
