WORTH IT$25,000
After having an RNY in August of 2014, I lost 150 pounds from a high weight of 310. I'm 34 and 5'8" and have never had (and am not going to have) children.
I have a very typical "apple" shape, with extremely thin arms and legs and all of my weight (and now, skin) in my trunk. This means buying clothes one or two sizes up from what I should wear just to be able to fit them over my waist. I have no butt and twig legs, so pants fit terribly. Additionally, the extra weight of the skin isn't helping my back pain or posture.
After weight loss surgery, I didn't think I'd consider any cosmetic surgery due to the cost and recovery time. But after working so hard to lose this weight, I decided to research into what cosmetic surgery could give me as far as the "finishing touch."
I considered several local surgeons, as well as the possibility of having it done in my husband's home country, Colombia. After having consultations wit several surgeons here in Seattle, I picked Dr. Javan Sajan in Ballard. I felt he best understood my specific needs and concerns as a bariatric patient, his office is near my home, and he does not utilize drains. These were all big pros and something that the other surgeons with whom I met did not provide.
I'm scheduled for November 29, 2017! In the meantime, I will be working hard to get into the best shape I can to make my recovery as easy as possible. I'm so excited to be rid of my Pan's Labyrinth Pale Man creature saggy skin!
Also, my pup totally had to photobomb my "before" pics.

I'm doing my research on compression garments, supplements and scar treatments, as well as renting a lifting recliner. The recliner thing seems like it would be super helpful, but it also seems icky and unsanitary to me. Any advice? Thanks!

I bought a twin size waterproof bed liner to go over mine, then also an old comfy comforter on top of it. Mine wasn’t a lift one though. But it was as comfy as I was able to have it...

I don't have my doctor picked yet but thought about renting a chair eventually when I needed it too. The material chairs are kind of eeek but I have a carpet/upholstery cleaning machine that cleans and steams. That's what I plan on using.

Ladies - make SURE your plastic surgeon is a member of American Board o Plastic Surgery. All the other are bogus! America n board of cosmetic surgery means nothing!!!

We're now in October, which means my surgery is next month! I'm so ready to get this done. I'm nervous about the procedure and recovery, but honestly, I'm more excited to see and feel a difference. I've lugged this spare tire around my entire life, and now that it's deflated it's time to get rid of it!
