43 Yrs Old...have Always Desired Rhinoplasty - Seattle, WA

I have always been teased due to my prominent bulbous nose. When I was in middle school, I was followed around by my classmates daily spewing hateful comments. My family moved a lot when I was younger due to my father's job, so I tended to be the "new girl" a lot. The cruelty didn't end though no matter where we moved...it wasn't just boys the girls were just as bad. It was so bad that I would cry anytime I would see my reflection in the mirror. In high school, to avoid getting my class photo taken I hid in the bathroom. When I was a little older (out of High School) I was told by one guy "you might be pretty, if you didn't have that nose." You would think that this torment would have ended with age, but even as recent as last month cruel comments were made to me by strangers.
I just want to look normal. I currently have a very handsome supportive boyfriend. He doesn't think that I need rhinoplasty. He said that I am beautiful the way I am, and fell in love with me the day he met me. I don't see it; I just see my hideous nose when I look at photos or my reflection in the mirror. Finally after years of torment, I have someone that is supportive of my decision to get rhinoplasty. That is why I have made the final decision to get it done.

The cast was removed by the doctor today. My eyes are still a little black, but that is diminishing. I love my new nose. He addressed the bulbous tip; my nose is a bit shorter and thinner. My face is still a bit swollen as is my nose.

I looked in the mirror today; the bruises are gone. My face is also no longer swollen.
