6 weeks !

6 weeks today-so excited to get back to regular life! I finally got the last drain out at 4 ish weeks-exactly 30 days. It was still putting out quite a bit at that point-but my surgeon removed it. No seroma thusfar. After the drain was out-I finally felt like I could see my result. I am very very happy with my breasts-great size, great shape-super thin incisions that are healing well. My belly is a little soft and loose, but I had a ton of skin to remove and a lot of stretch marks. My incision looks good-very thin and low enough for me. I am very pleased to how the area below my incision looks! Very smooth.
I am starting to feel like my old self again-not nearly so exhausted in the evenings. I did my first work out today-just light elliptical for 20 minutes. I can bend down easier. I plan to taper wearing my garment off-I wore it and the binder today for exercise. Hopefully in 2 weeks I will be weaned of it.

An update of the past almost 2 weeks

I had my surgery Monday March 14th. It was close to 5 hours long. All of the nurses and Anesthesia at Dr. Salemy's office seam great. The surgery went well. I had a pretty intense case of urinary retention after leaving the office which ended In a 911 call and trip to the ER the next morning. After getting catheterized and remaining that way for 24 hours-all is fine.
First week: very swollen abdomen, breasts really don't bother me much. Every time I sit or stand I have a bad burning sensation in my lower abdomen. I napped everyday. I took the pain meds about the first 5 days. Tried to push fluids and eat a lot of protein. I get very tired quickly. I wear a Fitbit and my resting heart rate went from 57 to mid 80's-which tells me my heart is having to work harder just to heal.
Day 7-day 12 : I can do more walking I have averaged about 5,000 steps a day. I still tire out easy. My belly is still very swollen. I'm only wearing yoga pants-which are way tighter than before. I felt like I have lost all my muscles in my legs and butt:( started breast massages. I AM SO HAPPY with my boobs. I got 485 mod profile inspira implants and a lift. The lift is beautiful work. Pictures don't do it justice. Suture lines are so thin, my aerola is reduced perfectly. I went back-and-forth on the amount of ml of implants repeatedly. I tried to look up a lot of other pictures of women with the same size and often they look very big. But I am tall and have a wide chest. I feel like they balance me out perfectly and in clothes - it's hardly even noticeable. But naked it looks so so much better!! I got one drain out at seven days postop. I still have my second drain in--it is still putting out thin but dark red and pretty high output about 85 ML's per 24 hours. I think I am likely not to have the second drain out until about 16 days postop. Which blows:( I have very little pain now. And take Aleve or Tylenol. I still get a pretty bad headache almost every morning but I'm drinking much less caffeine. I stopped taking the Valium around 10. I feel like and my surgeon has hinted at that I am probably more swollen than most people at the stage and I might not see the final result from the tummy tuck for another month or two. That has been really hard for me. I'm used to exercising very frequently, so not being able to be active is making me feel down.

I am so happy that now I can sleep on my sides. I think I've been bending down and squatting down too much lately and I've started bleeding again from one of my old drain sites. I'm trying very hard to stick to my regular diet of protein, fruits and vegetables but I am finding the inactivity and all of the Easter candy around frustrating.
