WORTH IT
I've been wanting a reduction for a long time. Like everyone else here I developed at a very early age (around 10) and I remember being a DD by 7th or 8th grade :( I started having sever back and neck pain about 2 years ago and decided I needed to do this. After a year of fighting with my insurance I was finally approved and have my date scheduled for next week!! I'm nervous but mostly excited! :) no matter what the outcome is I'm sure it'll be worth it. I'm excited to be proportional and to not have back and pain anymore. And to be able to wear normal sized bras and clothes! Yay!

I'm so jealous. I need to get my surgery so bad. I just have no idea what I'm doing and I'm fighting an uphill battle all alone with dysphoria, anxiety and depression all mostly caused by them... T-T I'd love to hear back from you. I have no friends. Ha. (Seriously though... And it's because I can't d anything anyone else can. I'm approximately an N cup and I have a hard time keeping up in the work place so I can't even find a job to take me.. Without getting fired for being too slow... T-T)

Hi Desi! Maybe I can give you some advice? :) have you gone to any consultations with any doctors or plastic surgeons? I started off with a referral from my general doctor to a surgeon, and after the consultation we made a request to my insurance to have the surgery covered. It took almost a year to get approved and I was denied at first, but what really helped was showing my insurance I did some conservative treatments (like physical therapy and buying specialty bras and even seeing a chiropractor). It was kind of a pain in the butt to do since I knew surgery was what I really needed, but it worked out in the end!

I've had one consultation when I was a freshman, but I was really self concise and my dad's means of motivation to lose weight to get the surgery made me feel bad about myself so I gave up and I've been stuck ever since. I was a GG/HH then, (Good God and Holy Hell as I called them) and so I'm glad I didn't get it yet because I was told I wouldn't finish development until I was about 21, which I'll be in January. I'm hoping to get another consultation soon but I don't really know how to research surgeons or anything about insurance whatsoever since my parents never really help me with anything haha. I'm hoping if I visit my doctor, she can help me get it all figured out. I'm just anxious about the surgery because I'm self conscious and I'm worried I'll have complications or be told once again I have to lose weight first (which by now would be like 100lbs) and never be able to get if off or I won't be able to breast feed later or whatever. I have a lot of dysphoria because of the way guys have treated me since I developed from a B to a DD over the course of the summer before 7th grade and on even to today. Everyone bullies me for not working when the last two jobs I've had I've been fired from for being "too slow", which I know is breast size related for sure. I mean, I can't hardly sleep and can't cuddle my boyfriend without my arm falling asleep or nearly killing him... I can't even hardly drive because they push up against the steering wheel since I'm short. Ugh. Sorry, every time I talk about them I get so rant. >

Definitely try another consultation! :) I think your doctor can refer you to a good surgeon. I wasn't sure if I would be good candidate for surgery at first because I'm pretty overweight for my height (175lbs at 5'2") but my surgeon didn't even bring it up, and I've seen plenty of women on Real Self who were approved for surgery even though they were overweight. I think it's worth another try! Don't worry about ranting, I totally feel your pain!

I really appreciate your advice. My mom was also just recently diagnosed with breast cancer, so that's one more worry I have. Ugh.

These are from June 2017, I was trying to find a swimsuit for the pool on a budget and I actually found one at target with an underwire and it didn't have a halter top! I'm around a 32 G, so I went to my sister size of 38DD (it had adjustable strings) and it fit decently. I hadn't been able to find a fitting bikini top since high school.
