Unnatural results - significantly increased facial asymmetry

UPDATED FROM Nai_pnw333

2 years out photo comparison

I am 5'7", 127lb. I have not gained any weight between photos. I am not wearing makeup in either. They are 3 years apart and the photo qualities are not the same. Regardless, my face shape has clearly changed, and not for the better.

Hello. Same problem. Have you tried steroid shots to ur midface?
No I haven’t. I thought steroid injections were to help with nodules. I don’t have any of that. Just poorly placed and dosed sculptra. Not a single professional will acknowledge the sculptra could be to blame. Last person I spoke to said “it’s virtually impossible to mess up sculptra,” and “at 2 years at the results should be completely gone.” I beg to differ. Have you tried steroids, and if so, did it help?
Im same as you. I dont have nodules or lumps but the sculptra was placed too low on my cheeks and I pretty much lost my high cheekbones and became a round fat face. A plastic surgeon said he could inject me with steroid - My only fear is the risk of atrophy….. my original injector only offered hyaluronidase since I have old restylane but I didnt have issues then. Im 2 months post sculptra and my face turned from vshape to round. I will probably take the risk with steroid shot……
How are you doing now ?
Let me know how it goes. I’m pretty much scared to let anyone else touch my face again because I’m starting to think no one actually knows what they’re doing.
What’s the before photo ?

2 Years out

I am now 2 years out from Sculptra. The results from the Sculptra have not abated at all, but my face no longer seems to be continuing to grow. Overall it has definitely aged the appearance of my face and reduced the shapeliness I once had. I have gotten a lot of gas-lighting from the aesthetics community when I even remotely express distaste about my results (even to other aestheticians.) There really is a lack of accountability for the work people are doing in this growing industry. I am learning now that less is more, and unfortunately this was an expensive mistake that can't be undone.

i hear you!! This product should only be a few berth qualified hands. but it is everywhere! i have issues as well! So many irresponsible doctors and "injectors " it is insane!
Do you have any updates for us now that you are three years out?! My life has turned upside down ever since I had this thing injected into my face. I will be 2 years in five days and my smile and face are still distored
Same girl ! I’m 2.5 years out and looks horrible . My I face is huge and under eye look like they have fluid in them . What wouldn’t do to go back to my old self !

Unnatural Results

I originally got sculptra because I wanted my mid face lifted and some help with my smile lines. I asked several providers about threads and they all mentioned sculptra instead. I believed because it stimulated your body to make collagen, it would look natural. However that has not been my experience. I received 2 vials at once and my injector injected into my jawline without my consent. I truly had a beautiful face shape before. Now when I smile, my lips look almost clownishly buried in my cheeks. I have significantly increased facial asymmetry and my cheeks push up into my eyes, worsening my undereye hollows and creating crows feet that were not there before. I believe this was due to lack of skill and an aesthetic eye on the part of my injector, but there’s nothing to be done about it because sculptra is permanent. I’m a year out from the treatment and my face still looks like it’s adding collagen (weirdly, not naturally.) I miss my old face. Don’t recommend.

I had Sculptra in my lower face area, so far so good. This is the exact reason my Dr. Will only do a half vile at a time then reasses in two months. She specifically made the comment about too much ,especially not knowing how your body will produce collagen.
Same here :(
