Worst Thing I've Ever Done to my Face

I wanted a contoured, sculpted, lifted look. Instead I got a fat, round, chipmunk face. Looking back, Im not a good candidate for Scupltra, Im young and have a naturally full face, wanting a contoured snatched look. I love my yearly results with Radiesse, Restylane, RHA. My provider loves Sculptra as natural looking and long lasting, if that means a fat puffy face then we had a different aesthetic. I wonder how much Galderma is paying all the providers marketing Sculptra as the best thing ever.
I am only 2 weeks out but I hate where the Sculptra was put in my cheeks; and how I look so far. Ive had so much experience with all injectibles, this is the first time I hate my look. I also dislike all the Sculptra before and afters online, they all look like they have a bigger face and lost the facial contours and cheekbones. I am skinny with BMI 18 but my face is now so round.
I am desperate to get back to baseline and prevent the 'collagen formation' aka scar formation. Is there anything I can do proactively to get rid of the Sculptra? If I could just go back to baseline, I would appreciate my face before... lesson learned.

Face still so fat

Injector recommended lymphatic drainage massage which I did. I also did RF, massetter botox. My face is still so fat I look like I have cushing’s. Im so depressed. Please tell me there is a way to go back to before sculptra.

Hi, I also did sculptra 5 weeks ago, and I also don't really like the result. I asked my practitioner, and his team told me 8 weeks is around the time that one will see final result. Right now, to do damage control, by putting myself on a diet, exercising. I think I am a quick responder to the product. I already feel like there's a lot of growth, which makes me worry what will happen next. It definitely makes me regret my decision of getting it in first place, because it is just so unpredictable. I am now trying to see if taking spironolactone can inhibit some growth, as it is aldosterone receptor antagonist. Aldosterone inhibitor has the potential to reduce scar tissue and fibroblasts, which is exactly what sculptra does. I also saw someone said that taking adderall will help to diminish the volume, which is something I will take next. I will let you know!

It is diuretic, but it is medication for acne. However, I don’t suspect much changes to it. My face looks different 4 times a day. I am already looking to find surgical solution.

luckily my face stabilized after 3 months after the injection. Not sure if anything up there made an impact about the stabilization,but I am definitely not touching this thing again

I can relate to the face looking different five times a day. It would be all the horrible inflammation around the ‘collagen’ causing it. They call it collagen but it’s type II collagen which is scar tissue - that is what Sculptra builds. I went through hell from the day I had it injected in late 2015, all the way through to 2019, when I finally found a way to remove it.

i am in the same boat. it has been nightmarish year for me. I am still struggling with my overfilled mid and lower face that I never had before sculptra. everyone says it starts wearing off within the 2 year mark. Sculptra was the WOREST decision I have ever made in my 37 years of life. I am depressed and feels my life slipping away from me . Please let me know if you find a solution.

I'm at the 2.6 year mark. its not going down AT ALL
I can actually see the scar cluster sculptra created when I stretch my skin over it.
I am so sorry. I was depressed for 18 months. I still hate it but less panic and anxiety over it. by the way. there's a you tube showing sculptra being cut out of a woman's face. I think it's from Korea. it's like a gray cluster that looks like caviar or frog eggs but kind of hard. Ive come to the conclusion it's the only way to got rid of it.

I have a feeling that it is not going anywhere. Hope perhaps was what i was looking for here. I need to accept that face I now have but I feel guilty because I DID this to beautiful myself. Can you please share a link to the video or the name of it? Thanks for sharing your experience and i am so so sorry that we are all going through this nightmare.

hi. maybe you can try kenalog injections? i had my cheeks injected with steroid shots and it's improved a bit.
