Hi all,
i’m sorry i haven’t gotten back to many of your inboxes but i haven’t been on real self for quite some time.
good news my granuloma has resolved. it has been 5 years since i was injected and probably around 2.5-3 since i have been clear of the “sculptra curse”
please have faith that yours will resolve as your body will eventually fight it off. I know it’s dark times but with the right treatment you will be on your way. there is light i promise - it all feels like a distant memory for me now and your time will come to.
i was lucky enough to see a cosmetic dr in melbourne whom helped me resolve mine.
- steroid injections were the best resolver and oral prednisolone

Below is I have just posted some before & after pics to show you all & give you some hope and positivity that in the right hands and right treatment your face will heal - my face has shrunk back to it’s normal size after a lot of treatement. I haven’t had a round of steroid injections for around 5 months and my face has completely settled. To all the woman & men out there who are struggling with this I feel you , I hear you and I completely understand your pain. Feel free to message me and I will support you in anyway I can!

Did you have the Kenalog shots injected in Granulomas or diluted and spread over the overfilled areas?

Hi, how long did it take to resolve? :( I’m 8 months out and the amount of years I’ve shed are ridiculous. I haven’t done steroids bc I’m scared of getting anything else injected

My sculptra nodules completely went away with three solid months of infrared sauna sessions (3-4 X per week for 30-60 minutes) and high trace mineral doses. I was told it would take 5-6 years if I did not take steroids. I chose the more natural approach to healing. Steriods have their own list of long-term side effects that I don't want.

I am very sorry you are going through this, I know it can completely wreck havoc with your mindset but hang in there.
I went to an Eastern Medicine Medium that recommended what ended up working for me. I actually bought an infrared sauna and set it up in my house but you can also find a place in your city that has them. I used it 3-5X per week working up to one hour at the longest, drinking 48 ounces of water while in the sauna. I also started taking a high amount of minerals in my water daily. The water will taste bad after adding the minerals so you could place a small amount of juice in a cup and pour the minerals in it 3X per day to just take it in one shot instead of drinking it. I drank and continue to this day with 96+ ounces of water a day at the least.

I started my treatment last November. 50mg prednisolone for 4 months. Kenalog a10 injections 4-6 weeks apart. Still room for improved will start a mix of 5/Fu & kenalog end of June. The lumps will never fully go away untill my body gets rid of them or body clears it out. But get your face to a point where you feel happy. You can really see mine now unless I pull my face or you look closely. If your struggling get on some anti depressants or some Valium to help with panic attacks. I would see a cosmetic specialist or plastic surgeon.

first of all, you are lovely. I have malar mounds that developed post sculptra. not nodules. is 5/fu injected into an area or specific bump? its 11 months out for me probably too late for prednisone

Try kenalog a10 injections. They can shrink massive scars they will shrink your granulomas

prednisone caused my hip bone to disintegrate now I had to have a hip replacement. I had no idea that this was even a concern. Feeling really depressed with all of it now. I had facetite close to $5,000 and it did NOTHING. Later I had sculptural by a different clinic but I became afraid after reading more reviews so I stopped after two injections. I think the one time sculptura did help but they said I'd need 3 appointments. My trust level is very low of all these "beauty" drs. It seems they will just omit the downside if it brings them clients. Friends say I should sue the dr who did the facetite as I was left with a sagging bulge in the lower cheek. I don't want to get into years of fighting with anyone I am a lover of peace not horror. Why can't they just be ethical, honest and if they screw up fix it and give the money back? They are so nice and sweet until they screw up then they try to gaslight you and make it our fault.

I am currently week 5 in my first sculptra treatment of 1 vial. I think I am a quick responder to the product. I already feel like there's a lot of growth, which makes me worry what will happen next. It definitely makes me regret my decision of getting it in first place, because it is just so unpredictable. I am now trying to see if taking spironolactone can inhibit some growth, as it is aldosterone receptor antagonist. Aldosterone inhibitor has the potential to reduce scar tissue and fibroblasts, which is exactly what sculptra does. I will let everyone know if it works.

I’ve done 5-6 sessions of the diluted kenalog injections with no results. Not sure if I should stop trying or keep going. It’d be nice to reference someone as a baseline who’s been able to reverse it all. God bless.
Also, what I'm doing is taking serrapeptase with nattokinase. It's supposed to eat up dead protein and fibrosis and scar tissue which is what Sculptra and collagen is. I'm going to take it for 3 months and see what happens. At this point I'm willing to do anything. But additionally, it's supposed to be anti-inflammatory which again Sculptra is inflammatory. Lots of people on reddit said its helped them with scar tissue, even old ones.

Don't take it with food. Either 30 min before food on an empty stomach or 2 hours after eating on an empty stomach. If you take it with food in your stomach, it can cause vomiting, etc.
