You Can't Judge A Book By It's Cover

WORTH IT
There's an old saying that goes "You only get one chance to make a first impression". Sculptra has been helping me make mine a good one for many years now. Living with HIV has been my reality for over 35 years and about ten years ago, I started experiencing facial wasting syndrome. My confidence fell to an all time low. I was constantly aware of my "looking sick" and I got so tired of people telling me, "You lost weight". Going out in public, going to work, every moment of everyday was painful even though medically I was doing fine. Then I started using Sculptra. Within a few treatments my whole life changed. My confidence skyrocketed and the fear of being judged left. I was "Me" again. Even when I returned back to work, and was fearful that I might be too "old" or look different.. Sculptra literally made everything happen for me. Dr. Echavez has shown me that not only is the product life changing, but his technique when injecting has changed my results and side effects completely. He has the perfect touch and knows how to "fan" the material out over an area so I look totally natural after treatment. I am so grateful for Sculptra and Dr. Echavez and the ability to continue feeling strong, more confident, and more courage when "facing" my future. I can't imagine having to live without it.

Do you have the "before" picture and how many vials were injected? I am on my second vial now with six weeks between the first and second. I did not see much improvement but was told I needed two at least. Will you comment?

Janey214, Because each person's amount of "correction" is different... it all depends on how much you need in the first place. I had very definite loss in my cheeks, temples, and I needed about 4 vial's just to get to "ok". Since that time I typically need about 2 vials a year. I will say everytime I get sick, get the flu, loose weight.. etc.. whatever product I've recently had injected.. vanishes. When I loose weight, you can immediately see it in my face. I also think everybody's "body" is different. You might have a treatment and it will hold for 2 years.. Mine doesn't... but it still to this day is the longest lasting product I've found.

yes i would like to see a before. i am on my third treatment, and so far see no improvement. we may have to try something else. you look great by the way. very natural!

I worked for a plastic surgeon at the time Sculptra was initially approved for HIV only. Eventually, it was approved for cosmetic purposes. It's an amazing filler, as it stimulates collagen growth, so results are not immediate. Usually, you'll need more than one syringe, depending on age and the desired look your wanting. I've had about 4-5 syringes in the past
few years and LOVE this filler. Usually, it will last at least 2 years - well worth it! And congrats - you look amazing!
