Do not get Sculptra!!

DO NOT GET SCULPTRA!!!!! It's way to unpredictable!! Firstly, if you don't like the results, there is nothing you can do but wait and who knows how long that would be. Not to mention the possibility of the granulomas. No matter how experienced the doctor is, if they put it in a place that doesn't need it ie a nice sculpted jaw line, it will produce collagen and make everywhere it's placed more full. Does not matter how "experienced" they are, they can't predict how your body will respond to it. I am trying to read reviews of people that like the results and keep going back for more because it didn't last to comfort myself. After 11 months, my jawline is heavy, and one of my cheeks is more full than the other. Praying that over the next year it will dissipate, I am going back to dr this week and see what he has to say about it all. To those that feel like I do, lets read all the good reviews of people that keep going back for more because it didn't last long ok!?

At 6 Months update for last nights post

I will keep updating and post pictures. To reiterate, I had 4 viles 1st/only treatment and wish I had done 1-2 to start. I had heart set on Sculptra after developing jowls and cheek hollowness and being frustrated trying to find the perfect conservative Injector that didn’t made the filler look fake, puffy and / “clay-like”. So I understand filler can only be done on the bone unlike Sculptra so it was attractive. So right after, I was swollen with the water in the Sculptra and it was freaky, then it went down a bit before the collagen growth and I sorta liked it for a week or so only because it makes you look a bit younger and closer to yourself BUT for me like I said in previous reviews once the collagen starts growing I felt that too much was put in around lower jaw, mouth and cheek hallows which i know is the whole purpose of collagen replacement and hiding bone loss (?) but pre-collagen loss, my cheekbones looked higher and sculpted, jowl area and cheek hallows were not squarish or chubby looking. This fills in jowl area for collagen growth to I believe to hide jowls whereas it seems putting too much in makes it look oval and not more V, bottom heavy, wider rather than lift and less full. I realize Sculptra is not a miracle and maybe we lose collagen and bone loss at different rates in each area and Dr. can’t tell how much to put where but all I know is that although it improves collagen I feel like the prettiness of high cheekbones are hidden by new wideness, fuller/chubby cheek hallow areas and lower face and not necessarily like yourself before collagen &bone loss. I can’t stop looking in mirror and feeling like I don’t look like myself. I just am freaked out my lower face will continue to surpass the temple/upper cheek bone area and make it even more oval than now. If I had known this could happen I would have made 100% positive that the Dr. was aware and/or experienced that this was a major concern and issue and DEFINITELY could happen based on improper placement or amount. I brought in younger pictures, expressed my concerns and said I didn’t want to lose V but feel he wasn’t really listening and didn’t. addressed the reasons that it does happen. I might look a maybe a 1-2 years younger but not what I looked like 1-2 years ago or feel as pretty in my own mind. Don’t feel like I look like myself or as pretty 3 years ago and go back and forth of losing sleep because face is changing unnaturally, look weird and not pretty and thinking I look slightly younger and maybe “acceptable ” to other people than right before injections. Sorry to go on but if you look at some other pictures online there are a few that you can kinda tell that they might look younger but not like themselves and/or bottom heavy. I will try to post pictures in next week.

Not Worth it- Chubby Face

Not worth it!! Way too unpredictable!! After what I thought was enough research on Sculptra and looking up bad reviews, I had my heart set on getting it for my aging and skinny face at 46. The 1st (and only) treatment was 4 viles all along perimeter of face and cheek hallows, too much!! I told him I tend to get round face with fillers but he did not take that into consideration at all. It’s been 6 months and my lower face is chubby, lost my high cheekbones and look weird! I feel he did not spend the time listening or discussing what I liked about the younger pics that I brought in and that wanted to avoid bottom heavy look at all costs. My face looks like an oval and am hoping it is at its peak and will dissolve from here on out. I had my heart set on doing Sculptra for beginning jowls but in hindsight I wish I would’ve stuck with conservative natural fillers, micro needling, peels and everything else that isn’t long lasting. Sculptra is just too unpredictable especially if you’re overfilled!!! I would say no more than 2 viles 1st treatment if you’re going to get it but I would do ALL research and read bad reviews 1st!! I will NOT be getting a 2nd treatment and am hoping this will stop producing collagen now!!!! I feel so ugly and weird looking!!!
