I'm happy with my result. Dr Pann felt that I needed volume restored to my thin face. She said the placement of the Sculptura at cheeks would lift the skin toward the cheek, thus helping to address the under eye hollows and the nasolabial folds that bothered me. She was right! I was considering a surgical facelift but Dr Pann said that sometimes a facelift will make a thin face appear gaunt. She is a plastic surgeon and she advised me NOT to get the facelift but to go with Sculptura to get the result I wanted.
I had a series of 3 injections, about 4-6 weeks between each injection. Minimal bruising. Minimal discomfort. I'm about one month from my last injection and I'm very happy.

Your fullness in face looks fantastic! She did a great job and you responded so well, it looks so natural and smooth. Do you continue to see additional fullness? Thanks for posting, I'm similarly thin to you and have an appointment scheduled mid May for Sculptra, nervous but very excited seeing results like yours!
Thanks. Yes, I continue to be happy with my result. My Dr told me to expect improvement in the coming months and that it will last for several years. I can't say I see it getting better than what you see in the photo, but I'm totally happy if it just maintains.
I was nervous too. I interviewed 3 Dr's and then thought it over for an entire year, before finally doing it.
As long as you choose a good Dr. and follow instructions (massage the area afterward......a lot) you should be happy with the end result.

Results are fantastic. It really is helpful to see results. I also plan on doing 3 vials and only 1 vial per visit.

I did not have any issues with lumps. But, I believe that is because I was religious about massaging the area as instructed by Dr Pann. She told me to massage the area for 5 minutes, 5 times a day, for 5 days from time of injection. Dr Pann mixed up the Sculptura 2 weeks prior to my appointment and diluted it further if it was too thick, as she was injecting it. She said that you can't over massage the area. In fact, my skin was moderately bruised because of all the massaging that I did. But, it was worth it to prevent lumps under my skin.
