Trying Sculpsure for Belly Fat!

WORTH IT
I was very excited to try the Sculpsure procedure to help get rid of stubborn fat. To be honest, I don’t have a whole lot of time to exercise these days, and I’ve put on about twenty unwanted pounds. I was concerned that my BMI would be too high, but somehow I squeaked under and I get to try it out! I will receive two complementary treatments as part of the RealFriends program. I’ve chosen Dr. Ed Zimmerman’s Las Vegas Laser and Lipo for my provider. Very excited!I received this complimentary treatment through the RealFriends program.

First treatment ‘

I had my first treatment on June 20th in the evening. Dr. Zimmerman’s office is very nice, tastefully decorated. My procedure was performed by the lovely Kate, who walked me through everything that would happen.
During the consult (the week before,) I decided to have my lower abdomen and flanks done, the “spare tire” area. I was told to drink lots of water in order to be hydrated during the procedure.
She placed two plates on my mid-abdomen, one on each side of my bellybutton, and two plates directly below the first two, on my lower abdomen. She pulled the tissue (my blubber) a bit up through the plates to create little pillows for more treatment area coverage. The sculpsure machine was then started. The sensation, for me, was like having a warm curling iron put on your skin, that then heats up and cools down. The heat is actually under the skin, where the waves target the adipose tissue. One of the plates, on the bottom right, was quite painful, like a burning sensation. A lot of breathing got me through it! After 25 minutes, we switched to two plates on each side of my flanks, or “love handles “. Again, one of the plates on the right was super painful. Kate turned that one down to 0.9, and turned the other three up to 1.4. Go figure, not sure why some areas hurt and others don’t. I had taken a few Tylenol before the treatment, but this did not provide any pain relief. As soon as the plates were off, the pain dissipated right away.
After the procedures, I was instructed to drink lots of water, and massage the treated areas. I was told not to apply ice, as this would diminish the desired inflammation process that kills fat cells.

Here are a few photos of my love handles squeezed into the plates. A few hours after the treatment, I had small lumps form, which is to be expected as some of the fat cells clump together. The treated areas were and continue to be a little tender. The tissue seems to be a lot softer under the skin also, more jelly-like (lol). I definitely feel changes going on under the skin, but it’s hard to tell what’s changed so far. I look forward to seeing the outcome! My second treatment will be about the first week of August.

Hi Bebe, I had some mild swelling for about the first two days. That went away quickly. All of the tenderness is gone now at three weeks post procedure. I’m looking forward to my second treatment! Thank you for following my journey!

I’m having my flanks “done”, as well, and I’m hoping that I won’t experience too much pain. I’m kind of preparing myself mentally for the unexpected!! I will try to “bite the bullet” and deal with the pain, if it does become bothersome. I’m following you , and I’m hoping that session #2 will provide you with noticeable results! Good luck, my beautiful friend!!!
