I consulted with Dr. Holden for the sagging brows...

I consulted with Dr. Holden for the sagging brows I had developed and for a revision of a rhinoplasty that I was happy with but wanted some refinement. This review and cost is for the ponytail upper facelift only.
I was adamant that I did not want a facelift. I’m 45 and do not feel that I need or want that drastic of a surgery. Nor did I have the two weeks it takes for the incisions to heal. He pulled skin this way and that to simulate a brow lift and I liked what I saw.
The heaviness over my outer eyebrows wasn’t changed, nor were the deep folds I have around my nose (naso labial folds). Dr. Holden told me about his upper facelift that he calls a ponytail upper facelift. Its self explanatory- it pulls the skin on my face in the direction a tight high ponytail would, up and back from the brows to the cheeks. Over goes my head, I grab my hair and pull. YES! Give me that! That was the lift I wanted.
The pros were explained by Dr. Holden-
1-no visible incisions, only some slots in my hair that no one would ever see.
2-quick recovery. As you can see from my 5 day out photos.
3.-the brows were softly lifted, the outer brows were lifted but not in an extreme Seinfeld way. My forehead is smoooooth.
4-my naso labial folds are smoothed out.
5-After 3 days, I was pretty comfortable
6-No visible stitches to heal or give me away.
The cons
1-Not a traditional facelift, doesn’t make any changes in my neck or jowls.
2-Brow lifts are pretty uncomfortable for the first 3 days
3- I have to re learn how to do my makeup. My old ways of drawing on eyebrows made me look comical.
4-I had a prior upper bleph by Dr. Holden at 40 years old so I had some dryness in my eye briefly that is resolved.
I'm so happy with how my forehead, brows and cheeks look. I'm amazed that I look this great after just 5 days! I had a huge meeting today(day 5)that was set the day before surgery that I couldn't miss. With the help of the makeup, I made the meeting, with confidence. As the swelling goes down and the bruising fades, I love my new, youthful look better and better. Thank you, Dr. Holden!

Better BEFORE photo

This BEFORE selfie is less grainy. But yo0u cans my deep nasolabial creases, hooded outer eyelids and forehead.

2 Weeks follow up- feeling and looking super!

I'm loving my lift so much, i'm willing to post a makeup-free 2 week check-in! I've been complemented left and right at work. I've even been called a "girl" out in the real world, an insult to some but an ego boost to me. I hadn't noticed till after the swelling was gone but the upper facelift pulled my cheeks higher up my cheek bones as well as smoothing out the naso labial folds.
This was the perfect procedure to address my concerns with my maturing face! I recommend Dr. Holden to everyone who comments! He does beautiful work!

I continue to have Dr. Holden as my plastic surgeon because he is the best around. He has excellent surgical skills, he's not pushy, he understands what I want and tells me in a straightforward way how he can, and in some cases cannot, get me there. His concern is always for my safety and comfort first and foremost. And- he is a truely talented surgeon. I wouldn't let any other surgeons touch my face.
