7 weeks post op
I am now 7 weeks post op and the swelling has definitely improved. The soreness on my inner thighs has improved but my sides are still very sore and feel bruised. I still have small bumpy places that I try to massage out with my Arnica gel. I see Dr. L in a couple of weeks and hopefully I can begin lifting weights and hiking again. I am eager to start working on muscle tone again. I did experience some strange issues with my bowels following my TT. It has been difficult to get my regularity back but excessive green veggies, Aloe pills and detox tea have been helping tremendously. Sorry to put that information out there but I found out from my PS' nurse this is very common following a TT.
5 weeks post op
I am 5 weeks post op today and had my first lymphatic massage this last weekend. It felt kind of strange because if the numbness I still have in some of my TT areas. I was very sore the next day but now feel better. I am still swelling by mid afternoon and for me this is the biggest challenge. I love how my scar is healing with the silicone strips and scar gel. I am sooooo excited to transition into compression tanks and start weaning from the entire garment.
