I had 10 upper porcelain veneers fitted 5 weeks ago. My dentist did full crowns. My teeth were not bad before, just ground down a bit and yellowing due to age, I'm 50. I loved the length of the temps but told my dentist that the tooth to the left of the front tooth was a bit short. He made a note to the lab. In 3 weeks when I went back for my fitting the tooth was still short and I did not let him cement them in. Another week later I went in (yesterday) my temps had holes in them and were broken down and smelly after 5 weeks so the permanent ones I felt pressured in to getting. When he placed them they kept moving and the odd tooth must have been pushed lower so they looked great. Once cemented, it was still short after the second time sent back for adjustment. I spent $12,000 and am not 100% satisfied. I feel like my smile looks like a ribbon and I wanted more symmetry. The color is OM1 and he said is the second to the brightest shade, which I really like. I also like his artistry but would like to get some true feedback from people. Thank you!

I had my dentist lengthen two teeth. I should have redone all four on the same side but I am happy with the final result. Not perfect but better. I have a canted smile line and the one side would have to be a lot longer to make my smile even and probably would affect my bite. Thanks for all the past suggestions and comments!

The fact that your smile is canted just makes it more appealing. Congrats!

Honestly I think the cant of your smile and what you perceive as "imperfections" give your smile a much more natural and beautiful appearance.

How are you liking the color? Do you ever feel like they are too light? My dentist is recommending me om3 and I'm hoping that won't be overly light for me...

I was told there is only one shade brighter than my shade but my dentist said that it would look like paper and too fake. I went with his suggestion and got OMI one and I love the color. They are not yellow at all and I Seem to be able to wear more lipstick colors now without making my teeth look gray. My teeth are not as bright white as Robin Meade on CNN for a comparison.

I don't know the color scale, sorry! The first picture to the far left on my page above are the temps. To the right in the description box I added the descriptions. I only did my top teeth, that is why my bottoms are still yellow.

Thanks for sharing your story, and your photos. I agree with hondaboy11 that they look very natural and not overly "done". I love the color as well.
Your veneers do look nice, very nice, but I do see what you are talking about.
At least that's your only complaint. If there were more reasons to redo them, then I would be mad.
