I am a mother of 4 girls. When I had my 1st child I was 18, so since then I've had a nice mommy pouch. The more kids I had the more weight I gained, although between pregnancy my weight held steady. In 2014 I had a horrible miscarriage and almost lost my life. I walked away from that knowing I couldn't risk that again and decided I needed to focus on myself to get me back to myself, so I started working out. Over the year I lost 50 lbs. My goal for reaching 50 was a boob job. When I started researching, a mommy makeover just seemed like the right choice for me. With my procedure I had breast augmentation and lift, full tummy tuck and lipo on my upper abdomen, flanks and inner and outer thighs. Once I had my consultation I was able to schedule my surgery pretty quickly. I had plenty of time to prepare and get my ducks in order. I felt well prepared for the day and all that I would experience from that day on. As everyone says, the 1st week of recovery is the hardest. The drains are the worst and a pain in the butt, but I wouldn't do it without them, as some doctors advertise. I hate my scars but those come with the package. They look really good (I am now a month out) If I may say so (for scars) My doctor did a pretty good job taking extra measures to help them stay as thin as possible. My skin hurts and I still have dull pain as my nerves reconnect, so I'm not complaining about that! But, after all that, and not being able to work out or pick up my kids for 6 weeks I am pretty happy with my results. I am excited to see what I will look like when all is said and done. I feel good! I feel confident. Actually, I feel a little self conscious about how good I look, I'm not used to people looking at me for my body.... Again, not complaining. I think the further I get from the day I had surgery the more I'm convinced this was the right choice for me and I am pleased with how things are turning out. (things are still shifting into place)

Good to see this! I just had my MMO with Dr Brown on Friday. Love him and his whole staff. They are so thorough and caring. What did you find was the biggest challenge during recovery? Also, are you able to walk around now without feeling like it is noticeable you are still recovering? :)

Oh, awesome! Congratulations! The biggest challenges were sleeping for sure. My kids always wanted to huge and jump on me and naturally I was scared of everyone bumping into me, not just my kids. My drains kinda hurt when I would pinch the tube to clean the line and I dreaded doing it. I will say though, they biggest discovery was finding an eye glass chain to hang my drains from when I took a shower. Lol, I thought that same thing when my recovery started. "when will I finally walk/look like a normal person?" I'm just now getting there. I will be 5 weeks out on monday. My left breast was smaller so it's taken longer to drop into place, and I don't think it fully has yet, but it looks a lot better. Be patient with yourself and your results. Besides the sleeping this was my biggest challenge. Good luck!

Yeah, my left is sitting a bit higher in the cavity but no biggie. I always wanted a bosom for a pillow. Lol!! I had my post op today and the drains came out. Best feelin EVER!! Prior to that, I was using a long shoe lace as a drain-holding necklace while I showered. Did your drains still ooze a bit after they came out? :)

Yes, but that didn't last long :)

Nice, I have a consult apt with him for a lift and full tummy tuck. So excited, how long did it take you to start walking straight or stand up straight?
