I researched for five years and interviewed many plastic surgeons before selecting Dr Daniel Shapiro to perform my procedures. His staff were all professional, attentive, detail-oriented and made me feel comfortable at every visit. They remembered my name, were discreet and handled all paperwork and questions privately never saying anything personal in the public waiting area. I witnessed several other highly rated physicians' office staff over share their patient's information while I was waiting for a consultation in their waiting area. I was already highly impressed with my experience getting scheduled, going through paperwork and questions and the payment process. Once I went into surgery I was wowed. Dr Shapiro and his team did not miss a step. From pre-op to surgery to post-op every detail was described to me in advance, every checklist item explained and prepped with me. I knew what to expect and everything went like clockwork. I was not nervous or anxious on surgery day. I felt calm and truly well cared for. I stayed overnight in the recovery center and my pain was well managed and every visit after was thorough and full of optimism. My drains were easy to manage and my pain was tolerable. I was up and walking around after the first week and after the second week my energy greatly improved. They referred me to get lymphatic massages which also helped with swelling and pain. I am a couple months out and feel great. Scar therapy is coming along and although I will still improve more with the remaining swelling, I am so pleased with my outcome right now I can't imagine it getting any better. Dr Shapiro is experienced, knowledgeable, compassionate and honest. He will absolutely tell you the truth including not getting procedures done. I asked about several other procedures and he said I didn't need them. It is refreshing to find someone so gifted as a healer who is willing to be conservative in order to provide the best and most achievable outcome for his patients. I cannot say enough good things about Dr Shapiro and his staff. They have my utmost respect and gratitude.
