I got my lips done 4 days ago. My lips appeared fuller first 3 days. It is day 4 and my filler completely gone. My lips look same as before. I am extremely upset. Was it fake filler or water down. How can I prevent this happening to me again. Is there a way to pick good doctor practitioners? Help!!!

How much did you have injected? Which filler was it? I have found that I need Almost two full syringes of restylane to have them look plump. I had a syringe put in last Thursday and plan to get another syringe within the next month. I might only get half because it's expensive. I think it depends on how big your lips were to begin with.
They injected full syringe. My lips went back to normal after 3 days. I had full syringe filler a few years ago and my lips look significantly plumper. Not sure what went wrong this time!
Your top lip looks fuller after taking a closer look. I want to get implants down the road because lip fillers are expensive and you need a good amount to make a difference. Plus I have to get
Mine done about every nine months. I think if you get another syringe, you will be happy. I also notice the more
Water I drink, the plumper they are. I stay away from coffee.
Thank you. You are so right drinking water helps alittle. Not sure how implants look after several years
The EXACT same thing happened to me! I got 1 syringe of Restylane and loved my lips day 1 & 2 but once the swelling went down, seemed like they had completely deflated. I went back and added another syringe the following week and it seemed to help keep my lips at a decent size. I would hate to think they watered down the solution but who knows. I've been looking into permanent implants because 2 cc's every 9 months is waaaay too expensive to keep up with...
Did they charge you for another syringe? I hate to think they were not honest with me! Hope you like your lips now
I just had 3 syringes. EXPENSIVE! They look great but I'm going to be bummed when they fade. I'm considering fat transfer. What have you found w lip implants?
I am actually going to Europe to get fat transfer. The only problem with that is
I am real tiny and i am really scared that my stomach would look deflated after they take fat out. Have you done fat transfer? my friend found this amazing lip implant doctor in Miami..
probably used too little filler. I got mine done lots of times. to get it to stay, I needed at least 2 syringes. cause it will look good but once swelling goes down, it's almost the same as before
yes super true. Never experience swelling before until this time! Good luck. Thank you
This seems to be really common. I started off with one syringe and noticed that it doesn't really do much. In November had a new full syringe. December I had .5, January I had .5 and February I had .5 which amounts to 2.5 and I am just now able to see and keep a plump look. There's a lot of different factors that play into how fast filler lasts for different people. Although, it should last more than a few days. What you are seeing is the swelling - water in your lips that happens the first few days. After that, when the swelling has gone down, your lips will be bigger but will seem not as "plump" as you initially liked. It's a serious bummer. I have been getting filler every month - 3 months for a year now. It's soooo expensive but once you get to build them up, it's so worth it!
I just posted something similar above! We had the same experience. It just takes more resty for some to get the right look.
How painful is it?
I am actually learning how important to ask what kind of filler they inject. I had juvederm twice and lasted me a year naturally plump lips. I believe new FDA approve fillers are hard to trust. At least they should not be 500$ for a syringe..Good luck. p.s.I am actually going to Germany for fat injection to my lips. I will be way cheaper and my own fat.
