Hi, I'm Heidi I'm 28 years old and I just got my...
wizdom teeth

I hope so, too! I'm glad to hear it's your wisdom teeth on your upper jaw--it's much less likely for you to have complications there, according to my oral surgeon :). But that is a lot to have done at once! Do you have someone to help you out on the day? Are you able to take it easy for a couple of days after?

Okay, good :). I just know that after having my wisdom teeth out, I needed help for...well, I needed help for two weeks, but that was because I got dry sockets on the bottom. But I would have needed help the first couple of days, regardless :). Good luck!
premolar extractions?

Ugh :(. I'm sorry that you got put in this position. There are a lot of doctors that are against extractions on principle, but sometimes they cannot be avoided. Sometimes, of course, they can. Sometimes if teeth aren't extracted, the teeth end up flaring outward during treatment. It's entirely possible that the extractions are to avoid the jaw surgery. Jaw surgery can widen your jaw (surgical expansion) and obviate the need for extractions, but jaw surgery is, obviously, much more invasive than extractions are.
At this point, it's likely too late and you've already gone to the surgeon, but I hope that you were able to talk to a doctor and feel comfortable about your situation now.

No problem about the typos :) We're all used to it around here!
Congratulations on finally getting to do this for yourself! Your teeth remind me a lot of my husband's. He was also told he would require jaw surgery and surgical expansion (and head-gear, etc.) He ended up opting for just the Damon's and though his result isn't perfect (the jaw shape is still a little bit V-shaped instead of perfectly U-shaped,) we're very thrilled with his results. I think you're going to be very pleased :D! His was exactly 18 months.
I just recently got all four of my impacted wisdom teeth surgically removed. The actual procedure was fine since I was put to sleep, but I ended up getting 2 dry sockets. If you have terrible pain after a couple of days, don't wait! Just go to the doctor and they can help you with local pain medication like they did for me. I didn't realize the level of pain was unusual so I suffered for over a week before I went in. So don't do that ;).
I just got them removed a little over a month ago and I'm 39 and a half ;). I had all four removed at once, and the two bottom ones got the dry sockets. Those are the usual culprits. Unfortunately, I had a couple of things going that correlate with getting dry sockets. If you are taking birth control pills, that increases the risk--especially if you are taking active pills (and I always take active pills--I skip all the placebo pills.) Also, if the teeth are impacted, which mine were.
Whew! Good to hear :). Happy healing!
