I am 5'8 and 150lbs. Sientra Textured Round Moderate Profile implants
I have always carried my weight in my butt and legs. After I had kids, my breasts were quite small for my med to large frame and I did not look proportionate.
I was a 36B but I did not completely fill the cup.
A few years ago, I discovered a bra-combo that helped created a great hour glass shape. I looked about 10 lbs lighter and felt significantly more confident. At the beginning I only wore this bra-combo when I had to get dressed up but gradually I wore this fake bra ALL THE TIME. (I looked more like a 36D) I was referred to Dr. Spies by my sister who had her breasts done by Dr. Spies and LOVED them.
I did not get any other consults as I immediately knew that this was the place for me. The procedure went well and I had no complications. I highly recommend Dr. Spies.
A few things to consider (or at least I wish I would have considered)
I noticed that any type of sensitivity I had prior was intensified that much more during the healing process. For example, my boobs have always been sensitive to cold (another reason why I always wore a padded bra). For about 3 months afterward if I walked into a cold air conditioned room my boobs ached like I was about to have a lactation let down (previous breast feeders know what I'm talking about) I don't think that went away for about 3 to 4 months. I kept a thick hoodies with me ALL THE TIME just to keep my boobs warm.
Also, if you work out, have a post work out plan. I didn't work out all the time but a few days a week my husband and I would do cross fit. I knew I would need to limit it for about 6 weeks after surgery. Well 6 weeks turned into 3 months (because I was lazy) and 3 months turned into 6 months. I am now 10 lbs heavier then when I had had the surgery.
I would have had a plan to get my butt back into the gym within a few weeks to just walk the treadmill or stationary bike as I fell out of the gym habit and found it so hard to get back. When I WAS given the "OK to resume regular activity" about 3 -4 months, I realized immediately cross fit was not going to happen and a lot of the stuff I used to do was SOOO awkward. Also, I had lost a lot of my strength (probably from not working out for months maybe because of the surgery) However, ultimately it really turned me off to going to the gym at all. I am getting back to the gym now and do feel that I am regaining my strength but I have about 10 lbs to get rid of.
Clothing size - expect that tops will probably go up a size. I went from a small-med to a solid large top (YES, I know I also gained a bunch of weight) but I have fitted dresses that I wore before that no longer zip up at the rib cage and above. Maybe this will change as I try to get back to my pre-surgery weight.
Activities change (at least right now) I played golf with my husband and I will need to relearn a golf swing that accommodates large implants. I used to lay on my stomach every once in a while sleeping I have really not found this comfortable since.
