Once I came to terms that a laser fixing my stomach was never going to happen, I explored other options. I found a few surgeons that did a procedure of abdominal liposuction with skin excision in New York and Dallas instead of an abdominoplasty with muscle tightening. I did not feel that traditional abdominoplasty was the right procedure for me because of the 6 week recovery time and having to deal with the drains or scaring after drains. I saw several local plastic surgeons and became increasingly frustrated because they wanted to tell me what they saw wrong with me instead of listening to me about what bothered me and I almost gave up until a friend told me about Dr. Tuesday Bigelow in scottsboro Alabama. From the first person to answer the phone to Dr. Tuesday herself everyone was AMAZING! And either answered all of my questions or called me back with an answer and I knew this was the place for me. You can see in my before pics I had an old tattoo, tons of stretch marks, and needed a new belly button but she thought I would be a great candidate for the Tuesdays tuck.

2 week post op yesterday
RR510March 29, 2014
I went bad to scottsborro yesterday for my 2 week post op. Couldn't be happier!! :-). It was great that in less than a week after surgery I was out and feeling wonderful. The skin being so tight was the hardest part for a few days. Dr Tuesday stressed how important the micropore tape and scar gel was so I have kept it on the incision since surgery and have also used coconut oil and vitamin E and my incision looks great. I'll post pics of the scar tonight when I change the tape.

I understand completely. BUT on the other hand you sacrificed your body for your kids and family, doing something just for you doesn't make you selfish (in my opinion) :-) I was so happy that I didn't have drains. My friend had a tummy tuck a few days after me and she is still fighting with her drains while I was going out for pizza!

You look great! Tuesday does excellent work and it shows!! The scar already looks amazing, I've been using rosehip oil on mine and they are barely noticeable, though I think a lot of it has to do with Tuesday! I just had a SLift with her 3 weeks ago and my heal time has been nothing short of amazing! Looking at your photos makes me want to call for a TT:)

Thank you! :-) I am so happy with my results!! I will be at 4 weeks tomorrow and still can tell I have a little swelling but I feel great! I will have to get some of Rosehio oil to add to my regimen that I'm putting on it. The center if the incision is actually barely noticeable now, but I agree completely and think that it has everything to do with her technique!!! I have saline implants and will def be going back to see Dr Tuesday in the next year or so to let her redo them! If you have been thinking about it I think you should go for it! Be extra ready for summer time! And congrats on your SLift :-) it's so nice when things come together to make you feel great again!

Wow that's great! I had my no drain TT last week, I couldn't imagine drains!! But gosh I can feel my stomach muscles tightening, it's such a weird feeling! What do you use for the scar?
April 11, 2014
I'm using the metipore tape and coconut oil with vitamin E and a scar gel that I got from my PS. I didn't have my stomach muscles tightened but yes it was so weird feeling the skin so tight!!

why does your incision look so high? Most incision I see are further down on the abdomen.
May 18, 2014
I had a tattoo I wanted completely gone and I also didn't want a vertical scar above my incision from my old belly button as some that I had seen. And she told me in order to achieve both of those I would have to have a slightly higher incision. But I'm with Shelly Ann I would def address your concern with her. And unlike most of the other surgeons I consulted Dr Tuesday actually seemed receptive to my concerns to make sure I achieved the results I wanted. But you have to make a decision you feel comfortable with for you and your body. Good luck :-)

I am scheduled to have one done with her but now I'm nervous that I will not get results that I desire. I may go with a traditional tummy tuck.
May 18, 2014
She does amazing work! I'd talk to her about your concerns. I've seen scars higher and lower and really think it's based on the individual, skin, etc!

May 18, 2014
That's how I was before! It's normal. The day of I thought I would be a nervous wreck but they took such good care of me and her anesthesiologist is the best! I know it sounds weird to say but that's the person that's waking up and monitoring you so when I felt good with him I knew it was all going to be okay. I can't wait to see your results!
May 18, 2014
I was a nervous wreck also. I think that is to be expected. But I am with you the anesthesia was what I was most nervous about but they were wonderful also. I drove 6 hours each way to see her because she came so highly recommended and after meeting her I understood why. Again it's a personal decision. But you will be nervous no matter which dr you choose. :)

Hi I was wondering if you could post more photos.
June 4, 2014
Sure thing. I went to my my GYN yesterday and they said it looked great and will continue to look better. My scar is completely flat just have redness because it's still fresh. And the stretch marks are fading back down also.

June 4, 2014
Great! I can't wait to see your progress. How do you feel about not having your muscles tighten? I've been getting mix reviews but I do think that this procedure does look more natural than most tummy tucks with muscle tightening that I have seen. it's like with the tt the stomach area can look really tight and sunken. But this procedure has more of a natural look even the belly button looks natural and not like a standard tummy tuck belly button. If that make sense lol! I can usually tell if a person had a tummy tuck buy there belly button.
June 4, 2014
I agree. And the my GYN obviously saw my stomach before and asked if they moved my belly button. My best advice to you would be stop asking people about their experiences find a doctor that you trust and feel comfortable with and ask that doctor what you can realistically expect from each procedure. If you need your muscles tightened, then you need to do it. If you don't need it done and will still have a great result don't do it. But of course you are going to get mixed reviews because everyone has a different opinion. But you are only going to drive yourself crazy at your current rate of asking everyone. I am very happy with my results because of the fact that a dr that I trusted was very upfront about what I could realistically expect so I am sorry that you cannot see my progress, i am very happy with it.

June 4, 2014
No obviously you miss read my comment. I was basically saying that your results are more realistic and natural looking then most tt because the muscles were not tighten I feel like it looks unrealistic when muscles are tighten with a regular tummy tuck because it can look too tight. That's all I was saying

June 4, 2014
And I just wanted to know your opinion because I know this procedure doesn't consist of muscle tightening. The purpose of this site is to get insight on other people opinions. There is hardly any reviews about this procedure so that is why I was asking questions and again I wasn't being negative I love your results and I am happy that you posted this review.

Omg I did. I am so very sorry. I was talking to my kids while I was reading. Again I am soooo happy with my results and also with the surgery itself. My friend had a traditional tummy tuck a few day after I had mine and she is just now getting back to life as normal. Again though. This is a big and personal decision. I did not feel I needed my muscles tightened and it took some convincing to find a doctor that I trusted that also felt the same way. I had another friend that was going to go with me to have the same procedure and dr Tuesday was very upfront with her that she was not a good candidate for this procedure. And that's why I say before you get worked up. Trust your gut and if you don't feel you need tightening, don't do it. But I put it off for so long because I personally felt the traditional tummy tuck looked fake and the belly buttons looked AWFUL. So I figured I would keep what I had versus paying to look bad. But I am working on losing 15 pounds and waiting for the redness to go away and I don't think you will be able to see it at all. But in my experience she is very upfront and will tell you EXACTLY what you can expect.
June 4, 2014
Again I am sorry and I know. I had a hard time finding much out. And I think it maybe because not many people are candidates for it? Because it isn't because it's the cheapest way to go for sure. I actually found a doctor in New York and in virginia beach that I was going to go see before I found Tuesday.

June 4, 2014
Lol! That's ok..I had a consultation with her already and she said i was a good candidate. I'm having the procedure done in September I already paid my deposit so no turning back. She is up front and I like that. I agree totally with you I don't want to spend that much money and still look bad. Thank you for responding now I feel totally confident with my decision to get the procedure done :))

June 4, 2014
Yes it does cost more but I think the results are worth it because it looks natural and I'm sure once you are totally healed No one would ever know you had this done. Tuesday seems like she is someone that pays attention to detail and is a perfectionist which is a good thing for a plastic surgeon.
June 4, 2014
I will post more pics in a few weeks so you can see!! I will tell you, I had a few mini meltdowns questioning if I should or shouldn't go thru with it. I think that's completely normal. And also read the emotional flow chart she gives you. My husband did and I didn't. On about day 3 or 4 I was cranky and just bawling my eyes out and didn't know why, again apparently that is completely normal :-). I ordered the poise pads, bacitracin, and a few rolls of micro pore tape and non stick gauze pads to cover your belly button with from amazon was very glad I had it all on hand when I came home.

Ok thanks for the heads up! Again I'm just happy you posted a review now I feel more at ease.
