Scars and Uneven Skin After Electrolysis

filouterie
Dear all, I would love to get your advise.
After an electrolysis session to remove hair on upper lip, I developed a bad infection that needed to be treated with antibiotics.
This was about a year ago and in the following months, I had several sessions of Microneedling to improve the scarring. It did improve tremendously and my skin came back to what it was before (or at least very close to it). Unfortunately, about 8 months after the infection, one of the scars became visible again after being exposed to the sun.
I thought I would try doing Microneedling again to fix it but it seemed to have made things much worse (it was a different clinic). I’m afraid she might have overworked the skin because I’m seeing all the scars that had disappeared reappearing again one by one, it’s really terrible.
Do you think this could be due to the Microneedling session I did two months ago?
Are could it just be due to the scarring from electrolysis resurfacing after 8-12 months?
I have a sort of porous skin texture with weird, uneven skin, as well as a more pronounced linear scar that is cutting my upper lip when I talk. It is all quite superficial and difficult to photograph but really visible in real life due to the placement.
What would you recommend I do?
Thank you in advance!!

The pitting improved over time. For the indented linear scar I had to do subcision. It was unpleasant but it worked very well.
Good luck, I know it’s no fun at all.

Thanks so much for your reply. I’ll look into subcision, hopefully it will help. It’s awful and depressing :/ I’m happy you’re improved!
