I Was Scared of Ear Surgery, but This Experience Changed Everything.

I’ve been insecure about my ears for as long as I can remember, but I kept putting off surgery because I was terrified of general anesthesia and a long painful recovery and long scars. I spent months reading online before I found Dr. Han's Instagram.
What really stood out to me was that he offers a minimally invasive ear pinning procedure under local anesthesia. That alone made me feel like this might finally be something I could actually do.
From the first consultation, Dr. Han made me feel calm and heard. He didn’t rush me at all and took time to explain why my ears looked the way they did and how the correction would be customized for me. I never felt pressured — just supported.
The procedure itself was honestly much easier than I expected. I was awake the entire time, comfortable, and not in pain. Dr. Han talked to me throughout and made sure I was happy with how everything looked. That made a huge difference for my peace of mind. He started by doing my left ear first. After he finished the left side, he sat me up and handed me a mirror to check how it looked. I loved it; it was the exact position for my ear, as I had always dreamed. When I saw myself in the mirror, I literally said "Wow, that was perfect!" I was immediately alleviated of my anxiety since I knew Dr. Han would place my right ear exactly the way I desired.
Recovery was also surprisingly easy. Dr. Han warned me about pain for the first night, but I had very little discomfort and by the second day I didn’t even need pain medication. I was able to go back to my normal routine much faster than I ever imagined.
Now that I’m healed, my ears look incredibly natural. They’re not pinned flat or overdone — they just look like they belong to my face, like I was born that way.
I’m really grateful I found Dr. Han. If you’ve been thinking about otoplasty or ear pinning but are nervous about anesthesia or downtime, I truly recommend scheduling a consultation. I only wish I had done this sooner.
