Hi thank you for your rely, sorry only just seen it
As above, hopefully i will get good advice, but its really getting me down now, as there seems to be no change yet
The lady i saw who does corrective treatment has given me eyedrops, which should help the eyelid, to lift, but its mainly the eyebrow which is the problem
I do intend to take action, but just waiting for further advice
The bruising has gone, but still looks bad

Hi Valerie I'm based in England - just thought I'd let you know as many of our lovely ladies here are American and I suspect have more regulations / laws around who can administer botox? I'm so sorry you've had an awful experience. It sounds like this woman has only done a short 'botox course' and doesn't know what she's doing (they really need to tighten up our laws it's terrifying). I think if you try it again go to a plastic surgeon, as they know where all the muscles, nerves etc usually sit. They are so highly trained and the face is so complex. More expensive I know but worth it I think. I hope it wears off asap for you. I'm sure it will be ok. Take care xx
Thank you for your comments, this lady has apparently been giving botox etc for about 8 years, but i have since been told there are other people something siniliar has happened to, but they didnt think to take a photo
Also been told that she should be a prescriber or have one with her, and apparently she isnt and doesnt
I have also been told that a previous place she worked from she did have to have someone with her
Anyway thank you again, there is no noticable change, and when i went back for my review he put more in, which it seems was the wrong thing to do
However i have the support of people higher up,[one of them is the founder of "Safety in Beauty" and my photos have been seen by a plastic surgeon, they said they will support me, so now taking out a court case
You're welcome x I'm glad you are taking action against her although I understand it must be stressful on top of everyday life. I think more plastic surgeons and qualified medical practitioners need to push for changes in our laws regarding injectables (easier said than done though I know). I'm sure when it begins to wear off it will be rapid and you will be ok again. Best wishes xx
T
Thank you so much for your comment, i cant understand why she was passed as being safe to practice when she wasnt a qualified nurse practitioner
I have been told that she might be banned from practicing, or maybe until she passes that exam or whatever they have to do
Are you in England?
How are you now? I am almost like you. You had paralysis in the orbiculares because of the botox. Please answer

Sorry for delay in replying, only just got a notification about your message,i am fine now thank you, the lady has been barred from giving botox again,

Had Botox to lift eyebrows also around eyes for crows feet, the practitioner injected in my uppernose, not between brows, she suddenly went into a panic as a lump came up at the injection site, she rushed to put an ice pack on it, and gave me an ice pack to use at home
The day after, around my eyes were very bruised as was my nose which was also swollen
I let her now, but couldnt see her as she was away, she didnt contact me when she got back, and didnt see her until review date,
I thought she would give me a refund, also my right eyebrow was much higher than my left, my left eye looks almost closed, the lady refused to give me a refund, and having to pay again for a second opinion, taking advice now from consumer protection, as this should never happen, and it seems she might have hit a blood vessel,
I cant sfford to lose that money for a botched job, i know things can go wrong, but practitioners shout know where not to inject, the first photo isnt the worset it was bruising got deeper and more widespread

Dear Valerie, Sue this person, you have a real case & proof..Things could have been even worse for you. I`m so sorry you are going through this. Its so not right...go after this person, ask someone for help & how to do it. Good Luck
I agree with the other person. This is horrible and she knows she made a mistake. Was she an actual doctor, because some people can take a short training course to administer botox and not have much practice at all... If you can't afford to sue, take your story to social media. If they have a website or Facebook site you should warn people to avoid going there. Usually if people see their business might be affected by a negative review they are more forthcoming about offering a refund.
Thank ypou for your reply,i have left comments and pics on her vacebook page, also in touch with someone high up in these kind of treatments,
I have seen a lady who advises and does corrective treatments and she is in touch with actual plastic surgeons
She has put me in touch with someonewho has said i could take legal action, the place to look is BACN
I will update when more news[british association of cosmetic nurses],
The lady was a midwife before,
Contact your state medical board and make a complaint. They will investigate it. Also, in the future you can look up any physician and see if they have had any actions against their license.
I dont know who you mean by state medical board, are you in England,if not might be different here, but i am filling in a court action now,
I have discovered that this woman shouild be a prescriber, and apparently isnt, and if not should have a prescriber with her when she administers botox or any injection treatment, ,so that if anything goes wrong it could maybe be corrected straight away, for instance with fillers,if too much given a prescriber can administer dissolving injection
who was the so called doctor who did this Botox to you very bad to do this I would not let him or her get away with it hope you get it sorted out best to see reviews on doctors before going to them.!
Thanks for your comment, it was a nurse, who has been doing this treatment for 8 years, i have just found out that she should also be a prescriber too, which means if things go wrong she can deal with it immediately, she is now being investigated by the cosmetic and non surgical cosmetics board
I am waiting for word from them on what my next steps should be
I'm so sorry you had this experience. I've read before if an injector gets too close to the eye, it can cause a lazy eye, and the drooping will last as long as Botox normally lasts -- with a gradual improvement over time as the Botox wears off. As for your nose, I have no idea why an injector would put Botox in the top of your nose. Did you have a crease there? I've had Botox cause very minor bruising, but nothing extreme.

I would never let anyone shoot something into my face who isn't a plastic surgeon, or at least a licensed dermatologist who regularly does filler. This sort of thing is still a risk, but I think you'd be in better hands going to a physician who is trained to do Botox and filler. I prefer a plastic surgeon with plenty of experience.

I know it has seemed like forever to you (and it would to me), but a positive note is that Botox isn't permanent. I just read it is supposed to last three to six months, but I've never had it last six months -- usually three to four for me. Hopefully, yours will wear off soon.
Thank you for your message, iknow it wont last forever, but my other eyebrow which she made much higher has dropped a bit, but when i went back for my review she put more in ,so might last twice as long,
I am preparing court papers later today and even if it transpires that i dont get any refund or compensation she will have it on recordit will be almost 4 months in April, so hoping there will be some improvement,
A lady who is well qualified in all things non surgical, [have checked her out[] has told me to use vibration above my eyebrow, but im not hopeful it will work
