Few days after getting stitches taken out. Keeping them taped with steri-strips until my one month post op.

No pain
BreastsBeseemingblissDecember 31, 2018
I expected some pain because it’s a pretty deep incision on a sensitive area. But surprisingly, I don’t feel any discomfort at all. I haven’t taken pain medication after the first day of the surgery.

The procedure was as expected. I was numbed via local anesthetic. Doctor cut out the scar and sutured them back together from each side. It took less than an hour. Instead of gauze and tape, the surgery site was covered with a breathable sticker so that it could help keep the incision site from stretching again.
I had ibuprofen and norco left over from my wisdom teeth removal last week. Doctor advised maybe I should take one right after. I did when I got home because I could feel a little bit of stinging when I moved my arms.
Post op instructions:
Keep the sticker on until I come back for suture removal about two weeks later. If it comes off, replace them.
I am to notify my doctor if the suture site becomes red before the two week appointment. This means my body is ready for the sutures to be taken out.
No antibiotics or pain meds were prescribed. But I can take pain meds if needed.
No restrictions on exercise. But I can’t help but think to be careful when stretching because the reason the scars healed badly last time is because of scar stretching.
