Scar revision on lip after a near fatal accident

I went to Dr. Mata to help me with some scars I got in a near fatal accident. We started with my lip - which had this bean sized scar tissue lump front and center of my upper lip. The experience before the procedure was amazing- he took the time to discuss several(several several ) options with me to plan a series of treatments. The information provided before my surgery was tantamount to my feeling prepared and definitely maximized my healing.

The procedure itself was almost relaxing.

Dr Mata and his staff have great bedside manner- which is vital as I experience mild PTSD for anything involving my scarring post accident.He takes extra special care to minimize not just the scarring of a procedure but also the swelling that contributes so greatly to post procedure pain.

Dr Mata met with me at very regular intervals as we examined which sutures could be removed and to monitor the healing process.

I am 10 weeks post op and the incisions are almost imperceptible- the best healing result of any of the (many many) reconstructive procedures I have had on my face- including the original scar revision for this lip.

I am more than happy with my experience and intend to return for other services both reconstructive on my face and cosmetic elsewhere.
