WORTH IT$1,850
I haven’t posted an update in a while. I haven’t been back to the surgeons since February because of covid. But my scar is looking good. It has turned into a white line. Even the spot where I had a stitch come out doesn’t look too noticeable. Overall I’m very happy that I went though with it!

Thank you for following through with the comprehensive updates! Not easy to find on this site. It looks amazing!
This is the best result i've ever seen
Wow this looks amazing!! Really good result! Thanks for sharing.
It's hard to tell from a picture but it looks like you never had any mark there. Congratulations! You really must wait a year or a year and half to get the final results on a scar. It's hard to be patient though!
Thank you! You can't tell in the photo but I have a slightly indented line but it's not really noticeable.
Do you feel like it's noticeable in pictures? I got scar revision in a similar place and it sunk in quite a bit, not to mention there was a stitch that came out that left a pretty obvious hole in the middle. I don't feel it's super bad looking at myself in the mirror but there's a very obvious indent / shadow especially photos in the sunlight. Yours looks like a much better outcome. Thinking of getting it redone with the Botox method you received.
Somehow I also feel that it's botox that helped with indentation. glabella is quite prone to post-surgery indentation. I'm debating if I should consider botox now(8 weeks post surgery) while the scar is still remodeling or wait for few months to see final outcome.
I also had a stitch that came out. Aren't we just lucky! It's not super noticeable. The surgeons said they could fix it with a punch excision and two stitches. I'm trying to decide if I should get it done.
I had to get Botox BEFORE surgery. Probably better to do as soon as possible.
what role botox plays before surgery ? just exploring my options.
Thanks for the follow through!
what is the procedure called?
I believe just scar revision. They literally cut out the scar and stitch it back up.

Follow up

I had a follow up with the surgeons and they suggested doing a punch excision on the indentation from the internal stitch that came out. I would only need two stitches. I have to wait a couple more months before I can do the procedure. Here is what it looks like currently.

how much was it for the surgery?
I have the same type of scar on the side of my cheek and was thinking of getting the same procedure done
I'm assuming the price will vary but I was originally quoted $2000. Plus I had to pay for over $300 for Botox. It included all of my follow up visits with the surgeons.
Hi there, do you still feel unsure about your thoughts on the results of the procedure? Or are you pleased with the progress? I have a chickenpox scar almost exactly the same as yours in the same spot between my brows.
I'm waiting until I reach my one year mark to make a decision, but so far I'm glad that I went through with it. I feel more confident. Good luck!
I have another question if that’s ok? Is the scar line now flat? Thanks
The scar line is slightly indented but it's not very noticeable. It looks really good!
Thank you! So pleased for you
I would never notice it, I think you got a great outcome
Wow! Great results!

Small complication

Starting in December I started forming a small bump right next to my incision. In early January I went back to see the surgeons for another round of Botox (I have to keep it up for a year following the surgery). They took a look at it and tried to scrape it and see if they could feel anything. They thought it might be an undissolved internal stitch that was being pushed out. They didn’t feel anything. It almost looked like a pimple. They said that sometimes the body rejects the internal stitches and pushes them out and it can look like a pimple. Any way now I’m left with a small indentation where the bump was. I’m hoping that with time and continuing to use my silicone sheets it will fill in similar to how the other stitch marks on the outside have started to fill in.

Hi I am considering getting this done. Has everything settled down for you now? I think it looks really good btw.
My new scar looks great other than where I had an internal stitch come out. But the doctors said they can fix it. But I have to wait a couple more months.
Thanks so much, really appreciate it! I’m really pleased for you. If you have any more pics to share it would be great to see how it looks now.
I posted an update. I'm disappointed that I have the small indentation from the stitch that came out. It doesn't look too bad but I felt like everything was going so well before that happened. The surgeons seem confident they can improve the appearance of it though.
