Removing my breast implants for good

Hi pretty ladies!
After thinking about it I decided I am not having another surgery to get new implants, I am explanting, for good! I got the implants because I was young and insecure, but I am no longer that person and thanks god I became educated and I realize now the risks breast implants pose to our health. Anyway, I was wondering if anybody in the Tampa, Saint Petersburg, Sarasota area has any surgeon recommendation for me? I am trying to find somebody that can remove the capsules too. Any advise or guidance would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

I was just like you I thought my implants were making me ill thanks to Dr. Lampert in Miami who scammed me into thinking I had a biofilm infection and he recommended removal and not replacement. He wanted to charge me 10k for removal. I ended up going to another surgeon and removing them for 4K. I made a big mistake for believing this doctors biofilm infection theory. I was wrong. I needed to see an infectious disease specialist because I developed an invasive yeast infection called thrush that got deep into my system and I associated my illness with my implants because I became ill 1 year after implantation. Now I'm depressed because I worked all year trying to get my health back thinking removal would be the cure but I was wrong. I hope you don't make the same mistake I did. You will be devastated. There is no such thing as Brest implant illness. Do not take them out unless you have been diagnosed with breast cancer or you really just don't like them.
Oh dear, thank you so much for taking the time to reply. I am in my 40s and I just hate my implants, those evil things have been giving me trouble and I developed capsular contracture and other issues, I live in pain and I can't wait to take them out. I love big boobs but I am done with implants. I don't want to be trapped in a never ending surgery cycle trying to make my body accept foreing beach balls in my chest. I am sorry about your experience, are you feeling better?
Hi there BeachBum2015. I am so sorry to hear you do not feel any better after your implant removal and regret the decision. Did you have the capsules removed? What are your symptoms?

I am one of the sick implant women, it is very true. I had silicone in the 90's. It's horrible missing your kids growing up because you can't get out of bed. The pain is aweful...implants ruined my life. The lie's are not from the sick women!!!
I´m sorry to hear dear, I hope you are feeling better. So many women are suffering because of implants, I will never have implants again now that I became educated about it.

Breast Implant Removal Tips (Pre-op, Surgery Day, and Post-op)

Thank you Sheila! Yes, I have checked the forum, lots of good info in there. I will be documenting my journey in realself, hoping is useful for others :)

Thank you so much! Your story is sure to help others who are just starting out on their personal journey. This community is so supportive, and I know you'll benefit from being here.

Hi there. I am travelling to Dr Feng in Cleveland Ohio. She is highly experienced in removing en bloc/capsules and I want the best possible change of getting some of my health back - so the travel is not an issue for me.

I would suggest having a look at the surgeons listed on here and then contacting them all directly to enquire if the do en bloc/capsule removal. eg; https://www.realself.com/find/Florida/Saint-Petersburg/Breast-Implant-Removal

Wishing you all the best in finding a suitable surgeon and getting on the road to your recovery. x
Thank you dear! And best luck in your explant, soon we will be free ;)
My health suffered as a result of implants. Although they were not ruptured, they were affixed to my rib cage which created an autoimmune response in my body. I had the capsules removed also. I had systemic candida issues which may or may not have been related -- but given how much better I feel feel after removal, I can confidently speculate that many of my health issues were related to the implants.

Good luck in your journey.
I have seen so many women getting sick from the implants and radically improve after explantation...but is an industry that generates almost $1.000 a year (and I am talking about just the sales of implants) follow the money.
I am done with my implants, I want to be back to my healthy, natural me. I am happy you are feeling better, are you following any detox plan?
Thank you for your support!
$1.000 million

I have a far infrared sauna at home so I am doing a niacin/sauna detox - not exactly as specified (@30 mins in the sauna instead of 5 hrs). I try to eat Paleo and have started drinking chlorophyll daily. My FitBit alone shows my resting heart rate is much lower than before - and it's not due to fitness gains ;)

I'm very happy with my explant decision! I agree with your assessment that it is a money generating business.

Awww thank you so much for the pdf book! I will read it on my Kindle, I am very interested in detox and natural healing and I love to read about it. I really appreciate it!
I have my first consultation for the explant next week, I am so scared! (but excited to be free too)
I had my implants removed after 30 years....just 5 weeks ago....like you I love large breast and would of left well enough alone if I had not gotten some strange infection....that decided to hand around my implant....6 Dr's have never seen anything like this 30 years post op....I too had bad contracture in one breast....and many autoimmune problems....after working in the OR as my career in derm/cosmetics/plastics....I never thought the implants caused my probs...but realize they could be a source of irritation and inflammation for some....for those that dont have health issues I say enjoy your large breast...my plastics guy said he does have many women that say they feel so much better health wise...but just as many that dont....time will tell if my health issues get better....but getting the implants out has cleared the infection..it ate a hole in my breast and my implant was becoming exposed...now how do my boobs look...like a train wreck....will I have some lift or reconstruction...or maybe more implants....wont know till next year....at 29...boobs dont mean the same at 59...they were free from my bosses so was a easy YES back in the day....good luck with your decision....its your body and your choice....do it for you!!!!!
Yes, I think some people are more sensitive to the chemicals used to make the implants, and they can trigger inflammation and autoimmune problems; while some people never have problems (capsular contracture, etc) with them...My body just can´t take them, they refuse the foreign object with passion and to me is nothing but pain and trouble. I love really big boobs, but from now on I will enjoy my natural A size and I will be grateful.
I´m glad to hear that your infection has cleared, what a relief, and hope boobies are healing well. Are you taking vit C ? A good dose helps the body produce collagen and improves the skin. Did they take your capsules too? or just the implants? Let me know how are you doing.
I will ck into the vit C...at the moment take all kinds of vits...and I think C is included in one of them. I did have the capsules taken out by en-bloc...it was the only way to make sure the infection would go away...I literally had pus/fluid dripping from the hole under my breast. I also had 40 IV antibiotic treatments non stop for 40 days plus oral meds..to try and clear this mess.....once the implants came out the infection cleared right away. Though the capsules were sent out they cultured nothing...which is a good thing. They had calcification in them...worse in the breast that had the infection. I saw the pictures and the infected capsule looked worse...all gooey and such. I had saline implants above the muscle and the actual implants were intact and clear...they were not compromised. Now I have bad scar tissue pulling my nipples and other areas of the skin in...it looks bad...nothing to do till next year...nothing to do with the Dr just the way my body is healing the raw tissue...I will most likely need some kind of scar release...not sure about a fat transfer.....lift with a smaller implant....do I want to take a chance and deal with this at 80...I am now 59....it is beyond weird to have large breast for 30 years and now at best a B....not liking it...but friends say...I look thinner...not a bad thing....tey say I younger....and more athletic...I am 5'8' 143..only time will tell if my Psoratic Arthritis gets better....worst thing of all was having to be off my arthritis meds for over 3 months I was in so much pain...not from the breast but form the lack of meds....surgery was not a issues by day 2 I was feeling ok...had drains for a week...and was driving once they came out...good luck on your choices let us know how it goes...sending a gentle hug!!!!
OMG 40 IV antibiotic treatments! Holy...you had a hardcore infection, good thing you are still alive, an infection like that can develop into a sepsis and kill you. Glad to hear you are doing better. Give time to your body to heal, don´t overthink about how your breast looks now, so many times the breast recovers completely in one year, you will see. For now, enjoy being implant free! (I can´t wait to be implant free myself and sleep on my tummy!) Much love!
I had this kind of infection 3 years ago and 21 IV's cleared it....also at the same time they told me I was a Type 1 diabetic....which if you know anything about diabetes is nothing like type 2....it is also a autoimmune type process. Hey I noticed the area under my breast Sunday....was at the breast care specialist Monday and getting my 1st IV that day....they could never culture anything and if I had removed the implants the week I found out I would of never had to do the 40....I never had any unusual blood work, fever pain or anything....so the antibiotics kept everything at bay....remember it was a infection hanging off my body...not in a cavity in my body...so never a worry about it spreading....the reason it took me so long to get them out....had to find the right Dr that was willing to go head to head with the ins....so it was a paid procedure due to my infectious disease Dr and his impeccable notes and my PS...just explaining to a peer group at humana....the implants did not cause the infection....I already knew this...so fast forward...feeling fine now that I am back on my PSA meds....not fretting too much about my boobs....they are just boobs...lol...and yes sooo cool to lay on my stomach with out laying on 2 balls. When is your surgery???
Check this documentary about diabetes, is pretty interesting: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2pjkC71exKU
Have you tried a gluten free diet for the arthritis?
My surgery is not scheduled yet, I will go to the first consultation next Monday and I hope they can perform the surgery ASAP, because I can´t stand the implants anymore. I am in such pain that my whole back and neck are contractured. I will keep you posted!
no never tried gluten free....way beyond the natural approach at this point....I have tired many and in way too much pain with out my biological drugs....it was murderous being off them for months....now feeling much better....thanks for sharing...I will ck out the video...good luck with your consult!!!!
ok can't open that link.
