Very Upset with Appearance and Bruising
ORIGINAL POST
I had my first V beam yesterday that was...
$400
I had my first V beam yesterday that was recommended to me by a well know cosmetic dermatologist MD. It was part of a skin rrejuvenation package that includes 3 infini (micro needling) and 3 v beam.
I had the micro needling #1 about a month ago. It was a bit painful, and I did have some slight bruising and puffiness, but that resided quickly, within about 4 days. I did see results from that, tighter pores and smoother skin. Now THIS. I am really upset and feel so stupid for doing this. I was told I would bruise, but it would be good after a week to 10 days. I was not in any way ready to look like this. I'm terrified I am going to be scarred from it. I am done many, many different lasers and treatments and have never looked like a leopard with the black plague/chicken pox before!
I'd love some input as I'm feeling pretty low.

As long as no scabs you will not scar. I am scarred from this exact treatment tho. I had bad scabs and blisters. Your skin wasn't even bad. Be thankful

I'm so sorry to hear that! For what skin condition did you undergo this treatment? Rosacea? And do you know why you got scabs, like were the settings too high or something? I'm still considering this treatment but comments like this scare me

Sorry to hear zacmac90. Thanks for replying to my post. I hope you'll find a way to resolve your scars :(

Rosacea/seb derm. She was just way to aggressive. I had 3 done. First 2 went well but the third was a living hell. I don't k ow what to say other then tell her to take it very easy to see how your skin reacts. I was burned last August and my skin is still kinda messed up. Im sure you will do well but if your skin is not that bad don't do it but follow your heart

Yeah, unfortunately my skin is bad and I really wanna do something about it :( but I'm scared that my skin will react the same as yours as the last few times when I tried new topical creams I got these little sores all over my face, like some sort of allergic reaction.. Now I feel like if my skin can't even handle a topical cream then let alone a laser like this (even though I know its a whole different thing) :( I just don't know what to do but I NEED change..

But ivda if you skin is inflamed from the rash do not do it because the laser may very well worsen this! It did me

That's not true...I had only bruising and inflammation and I'm scarred,1year out.

Hey there, I justo had my first vbeam treatment, and I have two huge blísters and like 5 small ones. Did the blisters scarred you qhen they were gone? I am really worried

I’m so sorry! It is scary and upsetting. Do your blisters look like mine? I have healed fine but it took a few months. Eat lots of pineapple if it’s available.

No, muy blísteres are huge like 1inches each and then a few small ones. Also they have a lot of liquid inside them. When you say you have healed fine, Does that mean that you don't have any scars like scabs or spots? What was the vbeam treatment for? Did you have only one? What do you think of the final results? Sorry for my bad english but It is not my first language. Thank you so much for answering!!

Thank you so much for posting. I am day 3 and wasn't advised how bad this would look. I have had to go to work with 10 layers of make-up on that doesn't even touch covering up and people asking me if I fell or was I OK. I am looking forward to day 7...I guess, still not totally there :( I wouldn't have had the treatment had I known the down time.

How is it looking now? It is depressing, I know how you feel. It will get better, but I agree with you, I would never have had the treatment is I was told how LONG I would look terrible.

My doctor said about a week or my purple spots to fade away. I will see. I agree I was surprised that each application was a purple bruise. The doctor said this was normal. I have from the vein eliminations about 20 or so spots.

On the bright side, those will heal up and next time take bromelain 2x per day on an empty stomach. Start it a week before the treatment and continue afterward until bruising fades. Also, remember to use a cold compress on the area for 5 minutes/hour for the first day.
It does get better!
