I DO NOT recommend this treatment. My skin is still discolored and brown where the treatment was done and it did not even take care of some broken blood vessels around my nose. I have consulted with other MD's and their conclusion is I was treated much too aggressively for my condition. If you feel you must try this for whatever reason, I would definitely have a long talk with your MD first, have them show you photos and know what to expect. I would also demand a test on one area first and wait a few days to see how it reacts. As I mentioned before I used a well regarded high profile dermatologist MD to do the treatment. Hopes this helps others.

At least most of it went away. I had the treatment earlier this week and am hoping for the best. He only bruised one spot. The other spots were treated with another laser. I am pink and slightly swollen but it doesn't look bad. However, I still see the broken capillaries. I'm done, no matter how it turns out.

Hi nw2222, I am fine now. No scarring or discoloring - I don't see how it really helped at all, but the good thing is even though you maybe feeling really bad, it will go away. I just would like to warn other people this is a bad treatment. Hope you look better soon!

Had my first today and now I am TOTALLY freaked out! I was given a 3 treatment Vbeam as a gift and my dermatologist thought I would benefit from it. OMG I should have researched it more. I'm freaking out for sure!

And let me add the procedure hurts like hell. Feels like a sling shot to the face hundreds of times. Please reveal the doctor's name who ruined your procedure to help other people avoid him. I had the procedure done and it made my complexion flawless beautiful for years. People need to bring these photos to their doctor and demand this does not happen, no purple spots!! It's due to high settings!! and improper use and knowledge of the equipment. I hope you got your money back. I am so sorry. Your idea of test spot first is really smart!!

It is fading, but sloooowly. Please be aware of this treatment, I am still worried this "dirtiness" around my cheeks will not go away anytime soon. I will never do this treatment again and warn anyone not to do it unless you have major issues. I was told it would help with general redness - I look so much worse than I did a month ago!

And I know my skin may never be the same... I'm just a young man too. I was very anxious for a long timd about the damage done to my face. The anxiety turned into depression. You weren't even damaged per say.

I had that brown discoloration too when I had my 1st treatment and was also worried it wouldn't go away - it went away completely. It's all part of the process, don't worry! Look on the bright side, that means a lot of blood vessels were destroyed and you got your money's worth!

Sure will do. Skin is still discolored and brownish where the laser was done. It did not even take care of my small broken blood vessels around my nose. I would NOT have this procedure done. I have consulted with two other derms that said that I was treated extremely aggressively which was not necessary in my condition. One prescribed me a hydroquinone cream to ease the discoloration. One derm MD that did this treatment said if she had treated me I would have only seem some redness the next day! Unbelievable that I had to go thru almost 3 months of discomfort. If you really feel you need this treatment I would have your Dr do one small zap on your face to see how it reacts and then go back another time if it's ok. Don't allow them to zap your whole face.

Yes, I have a similar problem but mine is with extreme grotesque swelling that makes me look like quasimodo. It depends on the doctor. Try to get a patient, conservative one - not a cowboy.
