Hi,

I did 10 Qyag laser sessions to remove a tattoo on my shoulder. After 1 year of the last procedure, my skin looks like it was burned and is raised. I'm afraid this will never get better. Is there any treatment for this?
The clinic was a big one in Sao Paulo but I think the last session hasn't gone well

Thanks,

Johana

Did you have any signs of scarring before your last session? What colour was the tattoo?

I don't think so. The tattoo was black.

You could try some scar medication and patches.  PErhaps something to help with keloids and other scars.  I know Bio-Oil is very good and there are others.  There are patches you can use. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000GG0TQI/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_8?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=AHEPIKNE2T3AF   You could look on Amazon, they may not mail to Brazil but it will give you some ideas.  After care is very important and it can take some time.  Good Luck. aloha...k

Fraxel review

The doctor suggested Fraxel to "enable my skin to create normal new collagen fibers that gradually override the scar tissue and blend the color".

I think this kind of statements are pure Marketing strategy. Too good to be true.
Actually I did several Fraxel procedures and it just made my scar worse. It didn't "blend" the color neither improve the skin appearance. Actually it helped to raise it even more.

Be aware of this bunch of manipulate images on the Internet and ask your doctor to see their own photos of before and afters for tattoo removal scars. I doubt you will find any.

Hey there just checking in to see how things are going, I hear the silicone scar sheets (as kahelelani mentioned below) work really well, did you give those a try?

Yes, but didn't see any results...
