I want to take a moment to give you an honest review on my surgeon, Dr. Javier Baez Angles
I want to take a moment to give you an honest review on my surgeon, Dr. Javier Baez Angles. This doctor, his assistant and the entire recovery team are all exceptional.
While, I have been looking into plastic surgery for the past few years. I began the journey of actually searching for a surgeon when a colleague of mine mentioned to me that she was going to Dominican Republic for a tummy tuck. The conversation sparked something in me from that moment on I began comparing US surgeons to DR surgeons. The comparison included the body of work, infections, deaths and of course cost. I learned that no surgeon is perfect and there will always be the possibility of something not going right. I also learned that the chances of something going wrong is more likely on an individual that I not completely healthy or is dishonest about their health history.
During my quest to find the perfect DR Surgeon (yes, I decided that if I’m going to spend my money, I wanted near perfect results. I didn’t want just a tummy tuck, meaning my tummy is cut and pulled down and that’s it. I wanted to be sculpted and from my research I believed that the best way to get these results would be to travel abroad), I came across realself.com. Realself is an amazing tool for finding reviews, learning about experiences, putting together supply list, etc.
Initially I was interested in the most popular surgeons in DR. The very highly popular ones that most people speak about in Santo Domingo Dominican Republic. So I began reaching out, requesting quotes from each surgeon. I was eager to get responses and I learned that popular also means busy. Therefore I had to wait days for an initial response, send photos of my body and more days to get a quote. Something about this wait put me on edge because I started to think about what will happen when I need answers? Will this highly popular surgeon have time to answer my questions? So I went off the grid and began researching other surgeons in DR. This is how I came across Dr. Javier Baez Angles. I read a few reviews on realself and I was intrigued, so I reached out for a quote. His coordinator Carolina replied within hours (maybe 1). I sent my photos and received, not a quote, but a phone call, from the doctor himself! He called and spoke to me about what kind of results I was interested in, what he believed he could do with my body and then the price. We were on the phone for about 45 minutes and he answered all of my questions, I never felt rushed and he even asked if I had any additional questions before hanging up. That phone call was just what I needed, I chose him.
In the months leading up to the surgery, I was a nut case. I began borderline harassing Carolina (the surgery coordinator). I know I was annoying because I was getting on my own nerves. Carolina always answered my questions. No matter how many were being thrown at her, she answered. If she didn’t have an answer she told me that she would ask the Dr and she always got back to me. I searched online for weeks, trying to find something bad about this surgeon. I was on a quest to find something bad and I couldn’t. I love that I couldn’t find a bad review, article, interview etc.
When I arrived to DR and finally got to see the Dr. I was rather pleased by his warm demeanor (I was driven by the recovery house after initially being taken to the home to drop off my bags and have a snack). The Dr. greeted me with a hug and kiss on the cheek. He welcomed me into his office, offered me a seat and asked about my flight. How am I feeling? Have I been able to sleep? We chatted for a bit and then he took me to the back of his office where there is a little studio and a mini doctor’s office for removing stitches, I’m guessing. This is where he took the pre-op photos. Then we sat down and went over what he will do with my body. I was shocked by the transformation that he was showing me.
So, let’s try to sum this up. This Dr is the bee’s knees, The bomb.com, all that and a bag of chips! He delivered all that he promised and more. I couldn’t be more satisfied with my body. I have a round 2 body with just 1 round of surgery. So if you are looking for a surgeon that knows his stuff and has a genuine love for body sculpting. Then Dr. Javier Baez Angles is the guy. I’m so happy that I trusted my gut instinct and went with him. While I’m only 11dpo (still swollen), I can see a HUGE change. I can’t wait until the 3-month mark. Pics to follow.
