I have been wanting to get this for a long time...

I have been wanting to get this for a long time now. Recently I have been going through depression and most of it is because of my weight. At 5'9" 225lbs I am the heaviest that I have ever been and that would be fine if my stomach weren't so big. All my life my stomach has been small, not exactly flat but I have always had a nice shape. I can honestly say that my body has always turned me on... Now, not so much.
After speaking it over with my fiance, we've been together for 8 years and are planning to get married august 2018, we believe that this is the perfect time. So now the researching begins. I have been looking into this procedure for quite awhile but I've always thought the cost would be well above my means. I love to watch anything reality tv related so Botched is one of those shows that I see that makes me think twice about going over seas to have any kind of surgery done. The doctors always warn against leaving the country for surgery. Well lucky for me, I ran across realself.com. Initially, I was interested in finding out what the cost would be to have the surgery done by a 6th year resident here in the NJ. specifically at Rutgers school of medicine. So i scheduled a consultation that cost $100.00. While I waited for the consultation date, I reached out to other international physicians. I only reached out to he best rated doctors on realself.com. Well, my appointment with Rutgers was yesterday at 2:00pm. I arrived in the office at 1:45 and all my paperwork was completed by 2:00pm. I put on a gown and sat to wait for the physicians review of my body. I waited for 2 hours before she came in grabbed my belly a few times with her face wrenched in disgust and told me that my BMI 33.6 is to high. she only works on people with a BMI of 32 or less, that has recently been increased from her suggested max BMI of 30. She recommended I lose weight and come back in a year. So, I thanked her for her time and told her that I wouldn't need the followup because the surgery would be done before the end of the year. I left feeling deflated and sad. But that was just what I needed because I was very interested in dr. Mallols work (he is one of the 5 doctors in Dominican republic who agrees that I am a good candidate for surgery.
I reached out to the doctor today to schedule a call. The call is currently scheduled for Monday at 4:15pm. I need this for me... I'm ready to feel sexy again. I'm ready to look in the mirror and get turned on by the sight of my naked body again.

I made the deposit for surgery. My surgery date is November 9th, 2017. My flight is Tuesday, November 7th.Â
I'm super nervous because I don't see many reviews on this doctors work. In my research I'm certain that i saw pictures and reviews with great praise but now i feel like I'm going crazy. Can someone please give me feedback on Dr. Javier Baez Angles, I would love before and after photos.

Travel items

My round trip ticket has been purchased. I'll be flying out of ewr to sti. The round trip ticket price was $400.00 with insurance, which I think is pretty good. My job has approved a leave of absence so this is really happening.
I've been in constant contact with Caroline (Dr Javier Baez Angles assistant), she always makes herself available to answer any questions which is refreshing. I have to say that I'm not as nervous as I think I should be, I'm mainly excited and impatient. I swear the days seem to be 3 times longer as I count down.
I've been researching here on realself and even joined a group on facebook called "snatched im Dominican Republic". I've been taking in as much information as possible and I've started purchasing items for travel. Here is what I have packed...
Adult wipes
Babywipes
boyshorts
Antibacterial soap (dial)
Antibacterial wipes
Wash clothes
Gloves
Tigerbalm
Arnica gel
Hand sanitizer
Lip balm
5 camisoles
Socks
A robe with pockets ( the pockets will hold the drains)
Coconut oil
Body wash
Travel size tooth paste
Money pouch
Milk of magnesia
Stool softners
Bio oil
Earplugs
deodorant
Heating pad
Loofah
I'll be staying at ginsa recovery house for 10 days. This recovery house is recommended by the doctor. Unfortunately, my fiance can't take 10 days off work so he's sending his mother with me.
Is anyone having surgery with this doctor that would like to be my travel buddy?
