I'm applying fixskin keloid serum to scar as directed. I can not say that fixskin will prevent keloids as I believe radiotherapy is the true reason my keloid haven't returned. I ordered this serum months prior to excision, it's too late to return it so I decided to use it. I did not try the serum prior to excision. I'm applying this serum to my small lipo scars and I haven't keloid on them but I do not usually form keloids. I have had cuts and piercings without keloids. I tried to find reviews on fixskin from people who have tried it and I can't find any reviews which is strange with today's social technology.

Incision is healing nicely. The part of my scar that's wide is a dissolvable stitch that failed to dissolve. I had to have the stitches removed there. (The photos of my incision prior to radiotherapy is so light due to the lighting in the radiation lab)

Thank you so much for sharing this. I have very similar scarring due to my TT and have revision surgery schedule for March. My dr plans to cut out the scarring and I will also now have a vertical scar. My dr never mentioned radiotherapy, does this stop the keloids? Was there anything else your dr mentioned you should do pre or post surgery that would help? You look great and it looks like you will have amazing final results. Take care and speedy recovery
The course of treatment suggested here in the US was steroid injections along the length of my incision followed by laser treatment. The treatment would be every two weeks and alternate between the two. According to two different local surgeons insurance would not cover the surgery or treatments as it's considered cosmetic. It wasn't submitted to my insurance. I would pay cash to have it excised and for steroids and laser treatment. From the research I did the steroid shots would result in a wider scar and with laser treatment I was risking the scar being wide as well.
Here in the US doctors consider radiotherapy to be a treatment of last resort. This would have been the third time this keloid was excised along my bikini line, so in my opinion it was the last resort. I do not like being cut on. It's a chance my incision my be darker due to radiotherapy. I have every intention on posting pictures until my final result to help my sister with this difficult decision. Keloids are tricky and I wouldn't wish this for anyone.

Scar Revision
Dr. Israel Manon revised my scars. After the keloids were excised, radiotherapy followed within 24 hours for 4 consecutive days. I received 10 GY of radiation, which is superficial.

You scar revisions look good.
Thanks, it's a work in progress. I'm careful to take care of the incision as I do not want to have it excised again. I'm pretty sure the radiotherapy worked but I'm using medication to prevent keloids as well.
What kind of medication? I'm getting a scar revision April 17th. I will look up radiotherapy, thank you.
