2 weeks & 3 days po

I haven't updated in a while but everything is going good! I feel pretty back to normal.. Just have to do things a bit slower sometimes. I still don't feel comfortable stretching up, hurts to lay on my stomach, or to reach backwards. I'm sure that all has to do with my MR. My drains were taking out at 2 weeks, thats how long my ps wanted them in for. I could've taken them out before then, bc it was at the minute, but I was nervous about getting a seroma. I went back to work at 12 days po. I took it fairly easy, it was my first day driving and taking my kids to school. The only hard about them, is when they want me to pick them up. I don't pick them up, trying to avoid any mishaps. Once my drains were removed, which i did myself, got my next compression garment. I wear it during the day, once i get home I wear my binder.

My belly button

I don't care for it. But its too early to have any ill feelings about it. Ortega said its in innie but its swollen..& once i get into my second cg it will all work itself out. He also advised me to try the silicone ear plug. I went and brought one last night but it was the wrong one. Another RS sister on here used one but it was the foam ear plug. So once i land tomorrow, i'll stop by the store before i get home.

Had my first bm!!!

Thank you God! It finally happened lol and i feel so much better. I took two laxatives lastnight. The cramps were so bad that it woke me up around 7 this morning. I tried to go but nothing happened. So went again at 12 and it was painful at first.. Then it literally flowed out and i felt like it was going to be nonstop. Btw i have been taking stool softners since 1 day po. But so happy thats over with.. Definitely a relief!

Ortega is such a down to earth surgeon! He makes you feel very comfortable. Because he has been doing this for 25 years, he knows what he is doing! His knowledge and him being so real made me love him even more!
