I have been debating on when my journey should start to be documented, so here I am RS. A mother of three, full time travel agent, full time student about to start masters graduate program, a full time wife and full time mom of three, it's not hard to see that I barely have time for me. I have been wanting this for more than three years now and have been researching several doctors. Dr. Jimerson was my first choice, then Dr. Azurin, but I finally decided on Dr. Fatima Almonte. I'm going to DR for surgery and although some may frown, I smile and say "mind your business, it's my body not your". I am 5'6 and 235. My heaviest weight was at 275 after my third child. I am in the process of weight loss and toning. My goal is to lose at least 50 pounds by surgery date. 5 days of cardio for 1 hr. eating healthy, taking vitamin C, folic acid, B-12, and iron. I have doing good, my weight in is on Tuesday 4/08/2014, so I will keep you all posted on the numbers. I am not in any way doing this surgery for anyone or for a quick fix. This is the beginning of my healthy lifestyle and feeling good about me. My hubby supports my decision and best of all my mother and sisters are thinking about joining me. I am excited. Passport appointment 04/09/2014. I did my blood work today, my 350.00 deposit paid. I'm just taking this journey one day at a time.

So far my experience has been great with communication with Dr. Almonte and Lesley Marie her assistant. The Dr. is friendly speaks English pretty well and her assistant is fluent in English, so I definitely can appreciate that. There should be no misunderstandings of any sort about my concerns, wants, and must haves lol. I am confident in my decision and most importantly, I am confident in my Dr. and her staff.
