Okay so let me start off that my main thing has...

okay so let me start off that my main thing has always been having a big butt since i was back in high school. I traveled to the dominican republic to do my surgery because i have a aunt who did surgery with my doctor and i loved her results. i have a friend thats been wanting to do tummy tuck for a long time so we planned our trip together. so i landed there on the 15th of february and went straight to the clinic. i arranged staying at a recovery house who had a taxi picking me up from the airport and then took me to the clinic. waited for my doctor to receive me and had my consultation. i initially wanted butt implants but my doctor does not perform that and he told me that i would like my results from the bbl. i wasn't too happy but i went along with it. in the same clinic i did all my lab works and chest X-ray which is not included in my surgery price. i spent about $150 dollars extra. okay so taxi drove me back to the recovery house which was about 40 minutes away. when i got there i felt very comfortable, i organized myself and they provided me with dinner but i was not allowed to eat or drink anything after 8pm. very next day at 6 in the morning i left to the clinic, i saw my doctor one last time and he drew on me the places he would lipo. i drank a blue pill and next thing i know i woke up lol, in a lot of pain and very VERY cold. i was shivering so much and kept asking for blankets but still felt very cold. whenever i needed anything the nurses were always there and very attentive. i stood at the clinic for one night and then went back to the recovery house the next day. i would say those days felt like the slowest time of my life so i definitely would recommend bringing books a laptop music, anything that u like for entertainment. my experience in the recovery house was very lovely. i had tv with cable where i spent most of my days watching my shows, ac in the room (which i didn't use much because i like to be warm) and the nurse that is there 24hours was very attentive to all my needs. even helped me get up to use the bathroom in the night. there wasn't any warm water to shower with, but guess what when u do this surgery you aren't suppose to shower. i was told by my doctor to clean up with wipes. by the third day though i did shower my lower area very carefully. also on the third day after my surgery i was feeling much better so i went on walks just to get off bed. i was provided with food and drinks and anything else that i was craving i would send someone from the recovery house to get it for me and they were always so kind. i love to drink orange juice so i had my little fridge in my room full of juice lol...the recovery house also provided someone who does the massages (VERY IMPORTANT) but of course it was not included in the price but way less expensive than what they charge in new york which is $50 per massage. another thing that i liked was that the recovery house also had manicure and pedicure services (very cheap compared to ny) which i enjoyed doing the day before i flew back to ny. i also wanted to do my hair and there was a hair salon right around the block, so yes i was outside with my faja (girdle) on and my leggings and baggy shirt to do my hair before i came back lol. i went to the doctor only twice as a follow up to get my drain out and then lastly just to make sure i was good to go. the drain was not painful at all to take out i swear i was screaming and when i opened my eyes he had the drain in his hands and i didn't even notice! lol...but one of the most painful things throughout this process were the massages. i got to do 8 massages over there which are crucial to the process but so painful I've never felt anything like that (i use to cry at first)....the lady was so good she would first massage u with this warm machine and rub this oil, then press her hands against my belly and back and it would hurt so much. she would also drain me whenever it was needed. the ride to the airport from the recovery house was about 15 minutes. oh and i forgot to mention that i gave my medication paper to the driver the recovery house provided and he went and got them all for me and the nurse on duty always made sure i took them on time. other than that its just a slow process u have to be patient to recover...my surgery was 4,500, the girdle was $150, the analysis i also spent about $150, i stood at the recovery house for exactly 14 days and it came up to $770 (i chose the double room to share with my friend so it was $55 per night)plus my taxi services which i payed an extra $125 and it included unlimited rides to the hospital and pick up and drop off to the airport. the food was included so i didn't really spend anything on that.....any questions or anything i left out just ask me. i know my review is all over the place...my doctor was Luis Lopez Tallaj and the recovery house was Silhouette Recovery House
