I am nervous to write about it, but excited to get this done!
I will be getting an extended tummy tuck with muscle repair and lipo of the love handles.
About me... I am 27, 5'8" and 175 lbs. I have 3 children (2 boys 4 & 3 and my baby girl is 6.5 months) I am getting my tube tied before the surgery.
I was 276 lbs at my heaviest right after baby #2. I started eating clean and exercising 4-5 days a week and by his 2nd birthday I was down 95 lbs. That summer I got pregnant with baby # 3 she was born on #2's birthday party day. I was back up to 198 lbs and since then have gotten down to 175 lbs, which has left me with sagging skin and a flap over my belly button. I have struggled with hypothyroidism since I was 17 ( not that it's an excuse for my weight gain, that was purely bad habits) and have been overweight since I was about 14.
I am ready for this change and with the support of my amazing husband and parents I feel it will be worth it.
I have my pre op on the 14th and the big day is on the 28th.
Any thoughts and encouragement are greatly appreciated.

I never show people my tummy, but here ya go. :-( it makes me sick that I did this to myself. But it will be gone in 16 days! Maybe I will be able to wear a bikini for the first time this summer coming up since I was about 10. We shall see...

I had my pre op today. It went great. We took my before photos and they answered all my questions. I dropped off my prescription at the pharmacy and will pick them up tomorrow. I am excited and anxious. I have everything all set, just waiting for the next 14 days to pass so I can get this done and start the next chapter. I am more nervous about recovery than the surgery it's self. I have small children and hope they are good for their dad and Grammy who will be helping me. But most I am excited to love the way I look instead of feeling sad. I'm ready to close that chapter!

Congrats on your journey! My surgery is on 10/21 so we'll be healing together! I am much more nervous about the recovery as well, but I feel this site and the lovely ladies on it will definitely help me keep my sanity along with my supportive boyfriend.

I totally agree. This site will be a good place to turn to because everyone is going or have gone through the same thing. As well as our support at home. I am so excited!
