Turning 30 - Giving Myself a Huge Present :) Santa Rosa, CA

I am turning 30 in January, and decided that now is the time to buy myself something I have always wanted: a breast augmentation. I have very small breasts that I have deemed as tubular in nature (I could be wrong, but I doubt it). Next week I have my first consultation with very highly reviewed plastic surgeons in the bay area who specialize in tubular breast reconstruction/implants. I spoke with the patient coordinator this morning, and she was very sweet and accommodating in scheduling my consultation. The cost she provided ranged from 7-9k. My surgery will be close to 8k if I need work on the tube boob. I haven’t booked consultations with other surgeons yet, as I feel this place is exactly what I’m looking for. If all goes well I will book a date in late January! However, if I don’t feel 100% confident then I will have another consultation lined up with another great surgeon I found.

I have been doing tons of research, and looking at far too many breasts lately. Fortunately, I feel much more informative in the procedure I will potentially be receiving and the surgeons who will perform it.

I wanted to detail my journey here, with my thoughts, and eventually photos as well…

What a wonderful birthday gift to yourself! We would love to see some wish boob pictures too. These might be helpful to share during your consult. It sounds like you've done some amazing research. Just in case, here is a list of important questions to ask during your consult. Can't wait for your updates!

That's so wonderful and exciting! Once you have the surgery date I bet there's is so much anticipation!
What size are you going for?
And good luck to you as well!!

I'm going for 450cc on the right and 520cc on the left. I never knew how uneven I was before this consultation lol. To make myself more excited I started doing things like buying pillows and ice packs lol

Hahaha, I bet I'm going to have to get different CCs as well.
Good idea to buy pillows! I haven't thought that far ahead yet. I leave for my consultation in a half hour! Eeeek!

Why? And Wish boobs

UwU_B00bs
Well, I posted my question regarding tubular breasts to real self, and many of the doctor's answers were quite helpful, and not what I was expecting! Although, they can't diagnose me over just a few photos....a couple surgeons thought that there *might* be tubular breasts issues, and constriction - but it wasn't significant - so I might not have that at all! Most agreed I just have underdeveloped breasts. I have a very small amount of breast tissue - which worries me about being able to breast feed when I do have children. As for how they look....the surgeons said that an augmentation should give me good results.

Now - what exactly causes underdeveloped breasts? Why did they just stop? I have always known that I haven't had the breasts of a "woman" - or what society deems as such a thing. However, I love my body and what it can do despite the size of my breasts. I can deadlift, and bench/squat heavy weight (it will actually be hard for me not to lift during recovery!). It's true that it took a while to learn to not hate any part of my body - even the cellulite! However, as I get older I realize there is no point to waste such energy. Once you focus on being healthy, then your body will look great as a product of that.

So why am I getting a breast augmentation? It's hard to explain. I know I don't *need* an augmentation, but....I *want* an augmentation. This isn't for society, and so I can fit that look of being a woman. I want this for myself, and so I can balance my body out. Perhaps it's true that society has shaped this image for me - however, it also has in terms of my makeup and clothing as well. I'm not ashamed of this at all. I'm making a choice to change my body, and I absolutely have no qualms about this. I'm just thankful that I have the choice and resources to do so.
Attached are my "wish boobs" as I have heard them called. I plan on bringing these photos with me to my consultation as well :). I included a few photos of the "after" pictures that my potential surgeons have done as well.

That's exactly the right reason for you to have the done. I was worried of what other ppl would think of me if I had it done, but I had my BA done!! I don't think anyone really noticed, except if I told them:) I did it for ME. I fee like a woman and not like a little girl. I can fill out tops and bathing suits and bras with no padding! Hallelujah!
I wish you the best of luck:)

I had my first consultation today with Dr. Francisco Canales, and he was great! I really liked him, and I knew right away that I would be booking my surgery today. Dr. Canales answered all of my questions thoroughly, and helped me decide on a starting point for implant size - he let me take my time as well, which was nice. So far I've decided on 400cc for the look - Dr. Canales will adjust the 10% size loss as it's placed under the muscle. I can't wait to find out the exact implant type I'm getting during my pre-op :).

In regards to my concerns of having tuberous breasts - one is just very small, and the other has slight tuberousness (if that's even a word...). This means I can get a regular breast augmentation, and don't need a lift or incision around the areola :D.

Total cost is $6,999 (50-100 will be spent on meds) - I was expecting to spend around 8-9k, so this is great!

Pre-op is on 12.21.15....and the surgery is on 1.25.16.

I am so excited, and nervous at the same time!
