I'm 5'1'', 129lbs, 34AA and have my surgery date booked in 3 weeks! I'm pretty set on getting 350CC "gummy bear" silicone implants, round/smooth, mod + profile, under the muscle, inframmary incision. I've been putting this off for YEARS but I've had over a dozen friends who have gone and highly recommended Dr Canales. I had my consultation appointment about 2 weeks ago. Keri helped me schedule my appointment and sat me in the consult room. She was very sweet, made me really comfortable and was so knowledgable. I brought my best friend with me for moral support because I was so nervous. I had a list of questions and had done years of research online. Everyone said to get multiple consults but after reading reviews and meeting Dr C in person I instantly knew this is where I was going to have it done. He was so down to earth, personable, and freakin hilarious! He definitely calmed my nerves, answered all of my questions. If you live in the Bay Area, HE IS YOUR MAN! He's a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and his wife assists him in surgery (she is also a board certified plastic surgeon) which is how you actually have a rapid recovery because of their technique during surgery. Anyways, after meeting him Keri gave me sets of different implant sizers. I went in thinking I wanted 240CCs and after literally 45min-1 hour of trying on different sizes I decided a 350. I suggest bringing your best friend or your boyfriend. I couldve kept going bigger and bigger, I needed my friend to stop me or I would've picked a ridiculous size. After picking a size, I sat down with Keri, she briefly went over the meds, what to expect before surgery, and of course price breakdown. If you book a surgery at the time of your consult they collect 20% and the remaining is due at your preop appointment. They have financing options if you need it. I suggest you apply for Carecredit BEFORE your consult so your good to go. I already had it for another procedure. Fast forward to today, which is the day of my preop appointment. I read every-single-word of the informed consent/presurgery booklet they give you at your consult appointment to read before. I recommend reading the whole thing multiple times and research on real self.com- it is literally the BOOB BIBLE and I swear by it. It had every question I had and Dr Canales will confirm everything else. I'll keep you guys posted on how my pre op appointment goes. They'll be taking measurements and I'm sure I'll be filling out drivers forms, getting my rx's, etc. If you've been putting off your BA consult-dont! Just do it! :)

PreOp Visit

19 days until my surgery! Today was my pre-op appt where I signed my informed consent forms. I met with Megan and went over any other questions I had. Everyone in this office is so sweet and stunning, I LOVE THEM! She went over instructions for before, during and after my surgery. I picked up my meds, surgery bra, scar creme etc. Dr Canales popped in for a bit to see if I had any questions. I've only met him twice now but I literally die every time I see him. You guys, I swear I get "white coat syndrome" at the OBG and MD office (you'd never guess because I am in the industry as well for work) but I am 100% comfortable here. Anyways, after meeting with Dr C I went to the front and paid the rest of my balance. Next time I return to PSA it will be for my surgery. I couldn't be anymore excited. STAY TUNED! :)

I am getting SO excited! I turn 27 tomorrow so getting the call for my surgery time was the best birthday gift I could get. I arrive at 6:40am on Monday-Julianna said I was the first patient of the day, which is really great because Dr C and Surgical team will be fresh and ready to start his morning on ME. She went over what to bring, what to wear, etc and also emailed me everything I need to know for Monday. My boyfriend and best friend will be taking good care of me next week. I’m still currently on Winter Break so timing couldn’t be anymore perfect. Only thing I’m going to miss is starting the new year in the gym(going to be out of commission for atleast 6 weeks). Oh well... another thing I’ve been obsessing over is whether or not I should keep my original 355cc or go up to 385????. He said he will be placing the Sientra round smooth silicone implants for me. I’ll post before and after pictures this weekend!
