Nice new booty--2 weeks postop

I can't say enough how thrilled I am with my new booty!! I had an allergic reaction to the tape used, which was a bummer but easily enough fixed.
Postop has been fairly easy, more discomfort than pain. Doc told me to take it easy and I did…for me. My drains were barely draining & I got them out at 6 days postop. Since I was not in any pain & I felt good, I went back to most of my normal daily routine (except the gym). Walking around & car rides did make me sore, but I still was not in pain. Well, all that activity made me develop seromas in my legs where he had undermined the skin. At 11 days postop I had to go in & have them drained. He told me to lay down & keep my legs elevated. With the exception of yesterday (I had a full day of work) I have been in bed with my legs up, as directed. It seems to be doing well & I cleared my schedule so I can stay in bed for the next 3 days, legs up. Hopefully Monday there won't be anything to drain!
I am ecstatic with my new little booty & can't wait to get back into the gym to squat & lunge without feeling all the extra jiggle!

This is more for you band. I also have a band and am worried about the dr not being familiar with the band. Did you have any issues with your band after the surgery? Did Dr. Zarabi need to move your port or put in a low profile port for you? You do look amazing!

I have had no issues with my band post-TT/MR. Because I was doing a lot of ab workouts, my original port was painful, felt like I was constantly bruising the abs behind my port. Dr. Zarrabi did change my port to a low profile port with no problems during the TT...why not do it then since it's all open anyways! Who is your LapBand doc? I was referred to Dr. Zarrabi by my band docs & they talked about changing out the port & provided him with the port. A normal-size port would definitely protrude out of my flat tummy...I recommend you switch to a low profile port if you can. I see you are in VV? I live in Oak Hills :-)

Thank you for the info. My band dr. Is Dr. Billy in ventura, ca so I did get a ps name from him but it's in ventura and that's a bit of a drive. I think I really want the low profile put in too. Did you pay extra to have it placed?

My ps is in Santa Monica...heck of a long drive (as I sit in LA traffic right now going to a postop visit) but well worth every minute spent in traffic. I would rather drive then have some of the botched results I have seen on here. If you have researched the doc in Ventura and trust him, you will not regret the longer drive to have fabulous results. I have had 5 procedures (3 surgeries) by Dr. Zarrabi & would not even think of going to anyone else closer to me. Insurance covered the port change out because it was causing me pain.

Hi Stillonmyjoyrney.
How do you feel about your medial thigh lift, are you still happy with it? Have the scars migrated?

I am thrilled with my results so far!! I'm not getting around as good as I had hoped I would be. My TT was awful recovery, normal, no complications, but awful. My thigh lift recovery was a breeze. I expected this recovery to be more like the thigh lift, since there's no muscle repair.I'm still draining what seems to be a lot; I'm hoping to have them out by the end of the week...we shall see!

Today I had my first postop visit, 3 days postop. Pain pump was removed; I think it ran out last night & I haven't had any increased pain. I have started tapering off the pain meds. During my visit I took off my compression garment & WOW! Once again, Dr. Z's results are phenomenal. My butt is not lumpy or pointy. I am very swollen especially over my hips & my tummy. The scars go a little further onto the front than I expected, but Dr. Z knows the results I want, so he did what he had to do. I am happy with where the scars are; they are the same in the front from my TT & I'm pretty sure they'll be low enough on back after they settle.
The only real problem I've had is the dreaded constipation...UGH! This happens to me every time with anesthesia & narcotics. I'll spare you the details.

Anyways, I'm excited to see what the next will show of my results. I'm thrilled with my results now & I know it will only get better! My next challenge...restraining from going back to the gym & start squatting to build the bootay!
