On August 26, 2016 I received a few BOTOX injections. I had them in the past when I lived in Santa Monica and had great results. While taking a brief vacation in Santa Cruz, I went to an MD to have a few injections. Right after the injections were made, I thought my life was over. The entire right side of my face blew up like a balloon, my gums and teeth felt like they were on fire and a molar (where there was an old root canal) started to throb. I started to see double and I got an intense migraine. I didn’t know what the hell was happening.
When I told the doctor who administered the Botox what was happening, he said: "the dosage might have been too strong for you. I don't dilute the Botox as much as other people which is why they charge less." He went on to say: "It could also be from a relapse of Herpes - I NEVER had Herpes. "Or from a past Shingles virus." I NEVER had Shingles. Although it felt like I had it now. He said, just go home, relax and the symptoms will go away.” He took no responsibility!
I couldn’t sleep for weeks. I went to dentists, neurologists, acupuncturists. One dentist gave me antibiotics – but once the antibiotic wore off – all the symptoms returned.
The nightmare of Botulism continues. I have spent over $6,000 trying to remove the toxins and support my immune system. I still have trouble breathing, my eyes see double, my teeth still hurt, I still get migraines and now constipation. My nerves are a wreck, I can only work a few hours a day and my entire business has suffered.
