I'm 51 years old, peri-menapausal I guess, on bio-identical hormones and happily married 14 years. Only problem is that sex was so painful that I was literally crying during it. I did't want to do it any more. I had to do something. I happen to have a friend who had the monalisa by Dr. Turner and swore it changed her life. So I made an appointment. The procedure itself takes maybe 10 minutes and it's painless. They put numbing cream on you, which makes peeing afterwards feel interesting, since you can't feel it at all. After the 1st treatment, I didn't feel like I was cured. I mean, the sex was a little less painful, and I was somewhat more lubricated, but by no means was it enjoyable yet. I had the 2nd treatment 6 weeks later. I tried it out 2 days afterwards. This time, no pain. And I felt more stimulated then I have in the past. I plan on having my 3rd treatment soon, and I can already tell that it's going to be my personal cure. Why didn't anyone tell me about this sooner??? I

Would really appreciate if you post your final verdict about 6 weeks after 3rd treatment as I find many women are not posting results after 1st or second treatment. I have just had my 3rd treatment and will give my final verdict in about 6 weeks after I have had follow up appointment with the Gyno who carried out the procedures. So far it has worked for me in relation to urinary tract infections and stress incontinence. Has not helped with painful sex but I am hoping things improve in that department now I have had the third. I have had a couple of unwanted side effects such as urinary frequency and ongoing burning.

I'm having my 3rd treatment this week. I will say that we had sex last week and it was slightly more painful then when I wrote my post. My whole menstral cycle has been weird lately as well. Who knows whats going on w/ my hormones. I wouldn't say that I'm more lubricated naturally that much, so still choosing to use something. Or maybe its just my husbands habit to grab it before we start. Either way, I'll keep you up on my progress as well. My only issue w/ stress incontinence is when I sneeze w/ a full bladder. Still happening. But I tend to hold my urine a long time, as I'm often driving and just want to get to my location, rather then stop to pee... Oh the things that happen when we age!!!!

We seem to be slaves to our hormones. I am post menopause so not so much affected. For me, the jury is out regarding sex. What I do know is that it doesn't hurt anymore. I can use a lubricant and it is fine. Although I had my 3rd treatment 2 weeks ago and will hold off on having sex for another couple of weeks and see how it goes. Thanks so much for your update.
Welcome, thanks so much for starting your review and sharing your personal journey. I'm thrilled to hear all is going well so far with just one more treatment to go. I'll keep an eye out for your update.
