I'm thrilled with my results.
The first few months things are healing and shifting and it's easy to get discouraged. The swelling has really gone down and I can see my results. Good news is that it's going to just get better! I'm 3 months and 2 weeks post.
I can't tell you how amazing it is. It's so well worth it. I'm actually really glad I got a mini.

I can't wait to get to the point you are at. The swelling is quite discouraging at 7 days post op.

It is I know! I felt like I had very little difference in the before and after. I promise you it gets so much better! I looked at so many pics of people who looked great right out of the gate but the rest of us have the very real swell hell. It makes everything look and feel distorted. I still can't believe the transformation. Be patient. You will have these feelings until you reach 3 months. It's down hill from here and also exciting to know it's going to get better. I now have very little swelling after I work out. It's not even noticeable anymore. You are going to love it! Hang in there. Let your body heal. I wanted to work out after a few weeks. When I started I noticed swelling. I realized my body is still healing and the swelling is it telling me it's not ready. So I followed my body and did some lovely walking only. Finally, I went back to full working out after 8 weeks. Little swelling but not bad. Now, I'm home free and loving it.

One day Post

I'm one day post and feeling pretty good. I had a lower abdominal, skin only tt with 600cc of lipo. I had hoped for lipo in the flank and bra roll area but he said no to that at the last minute. I was very disappointed.
I'm super swollen but can see the lift of the mons which is nice.
I had no pain until the numbing wore off and then my scar was burning. I took one pain pill and it worked great for about 4 hrs. I hate taking them so I just went to bed. Hard to sleep and get comfortable.
I got up at 5pm and researched Advil. A couple of nurses posted that Advil is given to C-section patients 24 hrs. after surgery. They said it is the drug of choice!
I took one and no pain at all! Love Advil! I have no issues with bleeding or ulcers so I felt it was ok. I feel really yucky after Vicodan and Tylenol so this is a lifesaver.
I'm in no pain and walking around fine. I thought it would be much worse but it's a breeze today. Now, to wait until swell hell goes away...

I have no CG or drains. My tummy feels hard and swollen but I don't feel as though I want compression. I'm just wearing a cotton/spandex cami. I can't even imagine how painful a cg would have been yesterday. PS thinks it's less risk of seroma and infection if you do not wear a CG. Makes sense.

Wow..sounds so easy compared to the full tt's horror stories. Are you standing up straight?

Thanks,

When I take an Advil I'm superwoman. lol I can stand up strait. As it wears off I'm hunched over. It is a much easier healing process for sure. I'm hoping I get just as good results. Much swelling now but to be expected. I can see a difference in my clothes though!

I had to come over here and see if you wrote a longer update, which you did! Yay for you!! Glad your recovery is going well, I love Advil! And Tylenol just isn't strong enough sometimes, though it is safer...

Thank you!!! The 3rd day was rough but I stayed in bed. Finally slept last night with the help of a Vicodan. Pretty disappointed in the PS for not doing the lipo I was told he would do, flanks and bra roll as well as tummy. He took of 2lbs. of skin and hardly any lipo, just around the incision and a touch around the bb. I am square now but of course swelling. Still happy with being rid of the skin!

I would be very disappointed also, but he did take off 2 pounds of skin. You must be very tiny to begin with so maybe he felt that you didn't need the lipo. It is funny that that the same amount of skin that was taken off of me so maybe our tummies were in similar shape.

I think your before pics are very similar to my tummy. You are so tiny now! Mine was way below the bb with about 100cc of lipo from around my bb and incision. No CG or drains so I'm incredibly swollen. The only good I can see is the mons lift. I think otherwise I will have my same tummy. Yes, don't know why he wouldn't do the lipo. He is over 80 yrs. old. Maybe it's too much for him. I don't know but I feel I wasted money there. Time will tell. I have a lot of red under my incision and by the mons as well as some above the incision. I'm hoping it's bruising and not necrosis! It all started around day 3. Did you get any bruising a few days after the tt?

It is funny that you ask about bruising after the fact...yes..a little one popped up and my husband said we really need to watch it and it was gone in a day or two...no big deal...but at the time kind of scary...I am sure that after a couple of months you will have no problem with needing lipo...it is amazing how after the swelling goes down you have a whole new body....It is so hard to wait for the results but with a tummy tuck it is all about waiting and letting the body do its thing.....You will not have the same tummy it just feels that way right now because of swelling...I promise....

Awe, thanks B2AUTO. I know it will be better for sure. I'm already seeing the bruising change and get better. I am hoping everything will be good. I had lipo about 7 yrs. ago and it left me with one side lumpier etc. My bb has been off center which I really wanted addressed. It's still off center but I'm hoping it will look better once swelling is down. Can't wait to get my stitches out! I'm on day 6 so I may be over the worst of it. You must love your new body. So much easier to dress! Enjoy your life!

I found out that the 600 cc was of the skin that was taken off and a bit by the bb and incision. Also, most of that was fluids and the stuff they pump into you before. So, it was actually about 100 cc of real fat.
