Breast Fed 4 Kids and Started with a "B" Before Kids, but After Became Completely Flat - Santa Barbara, CA

I wasn't entirely unhappy (enough to seek treatment) until I saw how flat and withered I was after nursing my 4th. I would like to be a nicely shaped, healthy, normal and proportionate size so I can look good in clothes without padding and naked. I went with 355 silicone. That also turned out to be the most my body could fit. It has been 8 days, so I am over the worst thank God (it was way more miserable in the first week than I expected). I am no longer in pain but I am agonizing over all the things that could go wrong while I wait to heal. I didn't realize how silly I would look one week out. I look more like a man with steroid pecs than a woman with breasts ( and they are not healing evenly which also stresses me), however I am not a patient person and I am told that I need to be and that as the muscle and skin stretches, the implant will drop and look more natural. Fingers crossed!

It does take time and from what I have gathered of experience from profiles on this forum -- realself, each breast heals differently throughout the process/journey. Also, even the best plastic surgeon has mentioned that naturally our breast are not entirely symmetrical. So, after BA surgery breasts will not have true symmetry, either. Have you started a daily regimen of breast massage? I would recommend that you consult with your doctor prior to starting the regular massages. There are two that I can post here for you, that I have been using to recover and reach the desired look. Rapid return exercises --- https://youtu.be/lJs9tr75b70 I personally still do not utilize the 3rd exercise (arm stretch) as of yet. My surgery was on 5/18 and I had an emergency evacuation and re-enter on 5/29. Here is another video that has pretty good exercises by the same doctor. https://youtu.be/GwNdV66ZGxY. There is a more aggressive set of breast massage exercises that you should run by your doctor prior to utilizing in a daily regimen. https://youtu.be/Ix3dH9dXTaE I hope that this all helps. Best wishes to you. Remember, your journey is a marathon not a sprint. Give yourself and your body the benefit of time. You took a big step. You are on your way. Take care. :-)

Thank you for the encouragement. I will see dr today for 10 day check. I will ask. Not sure about the massage because he gave me textured implants so they wouldn't bottom out since I had so little to support them underneath. He will probably tell me today.

Ya I have textured also and we are not suppose to massage them at all so don't do any of these exercises that she posted above without checking with your doctor. My right one is higher and tighter than my left making it appear smaller and I am also worried it will heal in that position! I sent pics in and asked if my flesh is going to adhere to the textured implants before that one relaxes into its final position and she told me no it takes months for our flesh to adhere to the textured implants and by then they will be relaxed and dropped into their natural position. Whew!!

They don't look bad. Just still really high. Mine had dropped a lot within 8 days so maybe it's just the difference between saline and silicone. I think once they drop they'll be nice! What did your Dr say at the 10 day check up
June 14, 2015
Not sure how much dropping I will get. That's what worries me. I have textured which aren't designed to drop.

Reading your review, I can empathise with you so much! Surgery went great, and I can not fault my care or surgeon but my mind is driving me crazy!!! Constant worry, I keep panicking I have an infection, capsular contraction, it's actually awful. I keep panicking they don't feel "normal" ahh so stressful! Hope they heal well for you soon x

Thank you! Yes, the waiting game is rough.

What doctor did you go with? If you don't mind me asking.

Two weeks post

Two weeks out- feeling no pain. Doctor has me stretching chest and doing shoulder rolls, which has brought back most of my ROM. I am dying to exercise, but making do with walks and hopefully not doing more than I ought to. I can't see much difference in breasts yet. They feel a tad softer maybe? Don't look nearly as real and breast-like as everyone else's pictures. ???? the left nipple (your right) still higher than the right since he pulled that breast fold down a bit lower (which was intentional- but I am not liking the asymmetry it caused which I believe is much more noticeable than the asymmetry he thought he was fixing, but I had never noticed prior to surgery). I sure hope they soften and drop so they will look natural and round and less "pec-like" and nipples will not be too low like they are now. Worried since textured plants aren't designed to drop. Does that mean I am stuck this way? Hopefully the next month will bring change.

Forgot to mention, I am only a 34 b now, which is a whole lot better than flat as a pancake (my state after nursing 4), but I worried that I will shrink since I m only 2 weeks out. I would stink to not be able to fill out a "b" cup after all this trouble and expense.
June 18, 2015
It would stink...not I would stink! Unfortunate typo!

What did your PS say about them dropping and softening? Is he at all concerned with them still appearing hight and tight?
June 20, 2015
He says they will soften and swelling will reduce. Not sure about dropping since textured. I wish that he had used smooth because they need to drop!!

What about wearing a bandeau for extra time? Could that help push the top part down?
June 21, 2015
I can ask but I don't think that's done with textured, just like the massage, since textured are designed to cling to your tissue. Really wish he had given me smooth right now. I hope he knew what he was doing.
June 21, 2015
Thanks! Yes, please do!
June 23, 2015
Hey girly! Hope all is well in booby land!! I saw a profile with pics with boons similar to yours and after 3 months, they looked amazing. Maybe textured just takes more time to settle. If I may ask, what is it that madway u decide textured vs smooth saline vs silicone?
June 23, 2015
Boobs** not boons. Smart phones are actually quite stupid :)
July 30, 2015
I never saw this question earlier. Sorry! He used textured because I was so flat he didn't feel there was enough tissue to support the implant (and he lowered the folds a bit so he was was worried that messing with the integrity there might also contribute to the smooth implants bottoming out potentially. By using textured he hoped they would stay put and not run the risk of bottoming out

One months out. Worried about asymmetry and firmness. Nipples still too low. Small improvement?

I think they are a bit better then your last post. Have you talked to your surgeon since the last time?
July 3, 2015
