Thanks for posting your story so far. How is your healing going? Good luck and please keep us posted!

Hi, I am doing good, had stitches out on 2/6, that went fine; still have some swelling around the jaw lines and the bruising is fading. So all in all things are healing well; will post a new photo in about a month. Take care, Eleonore

Thanks for posting your positive thoughts about this procedure. I had it done April 11th, 2012. Day 12 I feel a better about the lumps on my checks. They all seem to respond to heat, massage and ice. Each day is easier. I had a very smooth operation and the healing has not been bad. No pain meds except for first 3 days. I am very happy to be healing and seeing great results. BB in Alexandria

I am suppose to have this done on 02/24 and really having 2nd thoughts.I have read so many bad things

I know what you mean, I just called LSL and they are sending me some literature. After reading some posts on here (internet) I am having second thoughts too.. Seems like Doctors (Surgeons) are saying this type of procedure may work well but doesnt last long. some are saying less then 1 year..Yikes!

Dear Quig and sconzette,
How do I gently put this... Run Screaming to a real Doctor who is not employed by a corporate medical practice. It has been documented that they perform the surgery is non-steril office buildings. Not surgery rooms. This increases chance of infection. They also set out instruments the night before, exit and re-enter the room. Some have reported hours not 1 hour. And if you really take your time and get a second opinion, you'll be doing yourself a huge favor. They are not allowed in every state in the country, only the ones whose laws are lax enough to let them in. Too many people have been damaged, and you don't seem like the type of people that would play Russian Roulette.

I only had one round of 2nd thoughts and then I looked in the mirror again and made my mind up. I guess I am one of the blessed ones and am very glad & proud that I had my LSL done.

Who are you? Are you a competitor or something? I have only been on this forum for less than one day and I see that you have so many negative, and mean things to say. Have you yourself had this procedure done? Have you gone for a consultation? Are you even a person that would be in a physical position or situation to do this? Do you know what it is like to wake up in the morning and feel like the aging process has hit you harder? Why do you feel it is your mission to put your negativity in here so many times. Say what you have to say and be done with it. Quit beating the dead horse and quit attacking people for their own life choices. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Get yours out and move on to another forum and go badger them. Your 2trusting user name should actually be 1negativebusybee.

Hi, I had the lifestyle lift last Tuesday. I was wondering how long the swelling lasts. My face swells every night to the point that I feel it is going to blow up! Robin

I am at the 3 month mark and I see constant improvement in the numbing and soreness. You won't have the swelling much longer. I did have peeling twice after the surgery due to the swelling. It wasn't noticeable until I applied makeup and small flakes came off at that time. I guess this as a plus because I didn't have to pay for a chemical peel!

I am at 2 1/2 months post surgery and all the swelling is gone. I still have some numbness at my jawline and my neck with a little skin redness but make up covers that up. I am so pleased with my results. I literally look 10 years or more younger. Hope you have the same results and are pleased with your results.
March 9, 2012
At 2 1/2 months all of the swelling is not gone and there is still healing taking place for a year. They body continues to degrade and I HOPE your nerve damage will heal.... If it doesn't, THEN maybe you will feel like joining the crusade to spread the TRUTH, HSMESNGER, for if you are in fact that, then you will admit that their advertisements are fraud, and just about every other thing that comes out of their mouths! I'm glad you were not disfigured, scarred, damaged beyond repair, or killed. Do your research and listen to the damage they've done.

I believe Lifestyle Lift sends out emails to their patients, asking them to share their experiences on review sites. This is probably where the link to RealSelf came from.

Hope this helps,

How come I never got that? And you gotta know that they're not sending that info with their unhappy clients.... SO THAT'S HOW THEY'RE STACKING THE NUMBERS!!!!!!!

Hi aNewLook, I am doing great, yesterday it was 4 months since I had it done. Every one says I look at least 10 yrs younger :o))) every day it will get better for you, be patient, take care, ejcsrac
February 21, 2012
Hi Robin, I hope you are elevating your head at night while you sleep? I used 3 pillows for about 2 weeks, then down to 2 and now 4 wks. later I am on my normal 1 pillow. The swelling lasts for about a week, but in some areas lon ger. I still have some swelling around my jowel area, and around my ears I am still numm, as well as below my chin; this is normal - I was told; just hang in there, it gets better every day, Eleonore

Maliciously false and fraudulent advertising draws you in. You don't learn anymore from their literature about what they're going to do to you and how awful the recovery is going to be, and then by the time they're thru with the 1hr. "procedure" HOURS later, they've got your money, and your in it up to your eyeballs suffering through. Some fun huh?
March 3, 2012
When/where did you have your procedure done? Are you satisfied with your results? Mine was 5 weeks ago, and I am very satisfied. It was clear to me from the first consultation, that this was not just ' a little tightning of the skin/neck', but more like a mini-facelift. Yes, they do understate the recovery time and had I been working, I would have needed 2 weeks off for sure. But like I said, it's surgery, no matter how you want to 'dress it up'. Hope you're doing ok.
March 3, 2012
UNDERSTATE, UNDERSTATE ????????????? Oh my Lord! That's like saying "oh you can put your hand in that fire and not get burned" They are liars, plain and simple. They lure people in with fraudulent claims, and after you're in it up to your eyeballs there's nothing you can do. I'm glad you weren't harm like so many others have been.
March 3, 2012
maybe you should get a lawyer and ask for a refund?
March 4, 2012
According to the law, ejcsrac, it is not illegal for this corporate monstrosity to be out there slicing and dicing and harming people, and they know it. Refund? You can't be serious. They don't care what they've done to you after there finish taking your money and cutting you. The only way I would "settle" is if they had to paid a SURGEON of my choice NOT WORKING FOR THEM to fix me if that's possible and for PAIN AND SUFFERING! Their scalpel jockey who they advertised glowingly, CUT MY GREATER AURICULAR NERVE. If you don't have the heart to really FEEL for the damaged ones... if you were lucky enough not to be damaged, infected, and scarred, or DEAD!!!!! They are fraudulently luring people into a old fashion BAIT AND SWITCH. Hey, how do you know when they're lying??? Their lips are moving!!!!!!!!!!
March 9, 2012
And they dress it up, paint over it and throws a tarp over it! You can't get the truth out of any of them no matter if it's life or death..... You are a sweet, person, but really do you have the stomach to keep promoting a company who has done so much damage and harmed so many people?
March 11, 2012
Ejcsrac....may I ask...HOW was it “clear” to you that this was “more like a mini-facelift.” Going in, we know that it is a “face-lift” of sorts. REVOLUTIONARY, to be “exact.” However, did your doctor actually EXPLAIN that they would be cutting from the front of your face, cut your ear lobe off and sew it back on? Did he tell you that this is not revolutionary and is an old SMAS technique? Mine told me that he would give me a “cocktail” and that I would be asleep. FAR FROM THE TRUTH. I kicked my feet and cried and he got angry with me. The lipo under my chin was horrible. The first incision felt like I was being stabbed. Again ANOTHER NEEDLE. The needles were the worst part initially. Being awake while they cut into my face for the first hour was the second. I was BLESSED. Another woman LOST HER LIFE in the SAME OFFICE in Waltham, MASS. May God rest her soul. THe bottom line is this....SOME WOMEN MAY have luck and get a decent doctor and all goes to plan.....but doing this is a CRAP SHOOT. I wasn’t thinking straight when I went to have mine done. I was desperate. I wanted something done for my birthday and the EASY FINANCING led me right to it:( BEWARE!!!

I would like to reply to the "dress it up"
I didn't dress it up, lifestyle lift did. said I could go back to work the next day.
March 11, 2012
My Consultant and my Dr. told me from the start that they would cut staring by my temples,(in the hairline), then around the front of the ear (that ridge in front of your inner ear) , then down around your lobe and up behind your ear, and because I had the neck done too, there would be an incision in my hairline in back of my head on each side of my head. So based on that info, I surmised it was more than just a little tightning of the neck and skin. I arrived at 6:30 a.m. signed some consent papers etc, then received 3 valiums, 1 anti biotic pill, 1 vicodin and 1 pill for nausea. The surgery started at 7:30 a.m. by that time I was pretty 'loopy', I remember the assistant shaving my hair around my temples and in back, I remember the Dr. coming in, I joked around with him, after that I remember NOTHING! I was asleep for all of the cutting and sewing. I remember waking up and asking for a drink of water, which the assistant gave me a small sip. I tried to wipe my lips after, but he immediately took my hands and prevented me from doing this. I went back to sleep; later I woke up again, asked if we were finished, and the Dr. told me 'yes, with your face, now we do your eyes' (had my lower baggs removed). I fell asleep again, and woke up, when they woke me up, telling me I was finished and my husband was on his way to pick me up! I never felt all the injections to numb my face, only 'saw' the little blood dots after I got home, and surmised that it was the injection sites. So reading all these horror stories, makes me appreciate my Dr. all the more, that he knew what he was doing and did it well!

imagine driving home after all that!
User Avatar
March 11, 2012
they did the same to me --while promising a small incision behind my ear --then shoved me out the back door to drive 65 miles in heavy traffic. I don't know how I made it home.
March 12, 2012
UNUSUAL EXPERIENCE !!! TRULY UNUSUAL.!!! AND GUESS WHAT ! They can't do your lower eyes while your eyes are closed while they are doing your lower eyes. I tried to close my eyes while he was doing mine. THE SHOTS HURT And he told me I had to keep them open..
March 12, 2012
You never felt the injections to numb your face. How did you accomplish that? What kind of drugs did they give you?
March 12, 2012
And you saw little blood dots when you got home? Didn't they have your face wrapped too tight like a mummy? If they did how did you see the "blood dots"?
March 12, 2012
2trusting, wow you sure are a distrustful person - on every thing! I NEVER felt the shots, don't know why not, I had 3 valiums and 1 vicodin! I was wrapped all around my face, ears and neck; went back next day to change this wrapping and to have stitches checked etc. On the 3rd day I was to take the wrapping of and leave it off and that's when I saw a few little spots that looked like dried blood! As for the eyes, maybe they told me to 'open' the eyes, I just don't remember it, ok?! So I was asleep with my eyes open, I guess...

wow when I had mine done I did not go back till day 10
I called them at day 6 begging them to take out the sutures that were itching me to the point of tears.....
User Avatar
March 13, 2012
but then ---I had no medication at all just about 60 shots of lidocaine and then got pushed out a back door into a parking lot.....no one even helped me find my car.

I get more angry with each year that goes by---they were horrible.
User Avatar
March 13, 2012
I found out later that the sutures were left in too long--the skin around them tightened up too much--leaving the big ugly emergency appendectomy type scars.
User Avatar
March 13, 2012
they cut my muscles+ nerves and left me with 60-80 sutures I drove home alone!!! I honestly wonder every day what the hell went on and how it happened.
User Avatar
March 13, 2012
if you didn't feel the shots then you were really high---the guy that did my surgery literally stabbed me repeatedly ---he seemed oblivious to my pain and said to me---"oh come on--don't be such a sissy"

later on I learned he "thought" I was on "versed"...

bad since he would have been the one to administer it.

he didn't even realize I was not on that medication that helps to eliminate your memory.
March 13, 2012
Hi uglyscars, yes, I must have bee very high and out of it. To tell you the truth, reading your posts and others, I am VERY glad that I was! what was done to you seems barbaric! take care...
March 13, 2012
Yes, distrustful. After being 2trusting....isn't that a kick. I can't believe you didn't feel the shots. So many people have reported pain and it's only the "happy ones" who have only reported no pain. I guess there must be a connection. And good Lord, I'm surprised you were able to open your eyes at all on all the drugs, practically an overdose of valium . It's not my fault I'm distrustful now.... that's what I get for having been 2trusting.
March 13, 2012
Hi 2trusting, and here is another 'unbelievable' fact: I got thru the aftermath/recovery with out a prescribed pain med. I had over the counter Tylenor Extra Strength, took them every 4-6 hours around the clock and after day 4 I was finishd with them too. The Dr. offered to prescribe pain meds, but I told him I wanted to try with otc , if it got too bad, I could call them to have a pain med ordered at my pharmacy. Maybe I have a high tolerance for pain, having RA most of my life... but these are my facts.
User Avatar
March 13, 2012
a high tolerance for pain?? I think I have already told you my story here...I too have a "high" tolerance for pain...
in the end it was not to my benefit to have suffered like I did......
March 14, 2012
I had the same experience. I am allergic to all pain meds so Tylenol and valium did the trick for me. I also was very careful about sleeping elevated and applying the cream. As was said in the movie The Edge, what one man can do another can do.

UPDATED FROM ejcsrac

Almost 2 yrs later

Hi, I was asked to update my comments/photo, well it's been 21 months since my 'lift' and I am still satisfied with the outcome. There is one thing I would not have done again, and that is the lazor treatment under the eyes. I had the fatty pockets removed under my eyes, and it was suggested I have lazor treatment as well, to help with the healing. Maybe it helped with that, but as of today, the skin under my eyes is still much lighter than the rest of my face. The good thing is, I ware glasses so it is hidden. But that is the only complaint I have, every thing else is just fine.

look at my pictures.... the scars are painful it looks like an emergency appendectomy was done on my face I think the doctor was on drugs when he did my "lift" there is no revision that will work I have spent $10,000 out of my pocket to have the horrible scars and blood stains on my neck at least reduced.... didn't work and life style lurch DID NOT CARE.

Did you have eyebrow lift done? If so, did you end up with "pouches" above your eyebrows, that will not go away? I have those now and they will not go away. I have massaged and used warm wet cloths. Now, he says to wait until April to see again. The lift was done in August in San Ramon.

I had Dr. Suess. What a nice man. I didn't have the fat bags removed....only because it scared the Be-Jesus out of me when they described how they did it. My lift and laser took 8 hours as it was. If Dr. Suess had done the fat bags, who knows how long it would have taken.
