At 45 yrs old I decided that I needed to transition to female, so I shopped around to several doctors in the field to get their take on what I needed. Dr. Beck was moderate in his approach, suggesting to give me only the procedures and treatments that would be necessary, but not excessive work that other doctors recommended, because he didn't think it was called for. I was most impressed by his goal to achieve a natural result, so that I'd still look like myself, but feminine.
And he nailed it! I'm positively thrilled with the outcome!
The best is when I meet up again with old friends who I haven't seen in ages, and they know instantly who I am, but a much improved, younger, and much more beautiful version of my former male self. I still look like myself, just female!
Oh, and the most amazing experience happened a couple weeks after my surgery. I was checking my healing in the mirror, the swelling and bruising subsided enough that I started to look human again, and I was surprised when a 4-year old girl looked back at me! I was immediately overcome with the most complete, happiest and purest joy I've ever felt, down to the deepest parts of me, and the words "I'm home!" suddenly came from my lips! At that instant, I felt fully "at home" in my body, and I absolutely knew that I was on the right path. I’ve never been happier!
