Feeling Like I Don't Have Anyone to Talk to. San Mateo, CA

I'm 25--had small boobs all my life and decided to go for it. Went into surgery 5' 3'', 110 lbs and added 335 CCs. Had done a lot of research and decided going under the breast was the best decision for me. Now 9 days into recovery, and I have been having a really difficult time. Seems like my doctor really undersold recovery--I haven't been able to drive, been feeling nauseous, constant pain, can't lift my arms, had allergic reaction to pain meds making me itchy, all while feeling incredibly emotional and lonely. When I got out of my surgery I felt like maybe they were too far apart and maybe they were too small. I also noticed my right breast looked a little beat up where the stitches were more than the left breast. A few days into it, I felt more comfortable with my size and how far apart they are although I wish they were closer. Lately, I have been having shooting pains in my left breast, and now that I have finally taken a look at them am realizing my right breast is kind of off to one side. Although, to begin with my right nipple was always off a little bit but aren't good doctors supposed to be able to correct for that? I just don't know how to feel about the whole thing.

It is definitely an emotional journey. I think I've felt every last thing you talked about. Being allergic to the pain meds I'm sure only made things harder for you. Things definitely got better for me. Don't hesitate to call your surgeon and even go in to talk to him about and show him your concerns. You paid a lot of money for this so you have every right to get reassurance. You aren't alone... Any surgery can really mess with you, and especially when it's altering your body. Hang in there and feel free to message me or ask any other questions if it helps!
I think you have a lovely result already. You're still very early in the healing process - it's hard to be patient, but time and patience will be your best friends :) You should have follow-up appointments scheduled with your surgeon where you can discuss your healing process, including your perspective on your results and what to expect. If you feel the need to talk to someone sooner than scheduled, you should call the office. You paid well for this procedure which definitely includes post-op. care. Remember that what your breasts looked like before will still dictate what the ps can do with implants alone. They center the implant under the nipple, so they would not have been able to bring one nipple in closer without additional surgery (I think). I really do think your results are beautiful. Happy healing...
It's been 9 days since my BA. 450cc under the muscle incision under the crease. I am on the same boat here. I was in pain for over a week. Even though the pain finally eased, I am very worried because the size of my breasts are way larger than what I agreed on and the implants are sitting super high. I have a follow up appointment this Wednesday. I haven't been able to wear the band until today. OMG... It was so painful for my left breast when I was wearing it!
Now it looks that I can stand it more although it keeps being very uncomfortable.
I'm just worried about the shape of my breasts right now. They look like torpedoes and the implants are almost to my collarbone.
Many doctors on this website told me to hang on because they will drop eventually.
Yours look so much better than mine so don't worry about the pain. It should go away soon.
Best wishes!
I totally understand. They do undersell the pain. I had pain for 2 months. I couldn't sleep in my side for 2 months n I can't lift anything. I'm 2 months and a wweek, n I'm finally able to do 98% of things I usually did. Recovery was hard for me n I'm still recovering. My nippled were so sensitive but that went away so the only thing at my stage now is that I have numbness under my boob n my skin is sensitive. But a whole lot better than than the first day. But I do agree with the ladies u have to let Ur body heal!! U had surgery n any surgery u have to be careful. Oh and it will feel like to weird objects in there. Its feel a little strange! Lol but hold in there u got this!!! Keep Ur head up n give it time. Keep us posted
On the same boat here... :(
This is my 4th week after BA and I'm still somewhat a cripple. I can only lay down on my left side without pain on my cleavage or my armpits. I had 450cc unders. The implants are still very high maybe that's the reason for the pain still.
Hey girl,

I just had mine done a few days ago and I completely empathize with you! I was feeling a lot loopier than I expected. Groggy, unable to focus, and having a lot of difficulty getting myself out of bed.
I found that movement helps me tremendously. You mentioned that you can't lift your arms. My doctor recommended I lift my arms in a very slow jumping jack motion ten times every hour. Maybe you could try lifting your arms very slowly even just a little every hour. Also, taking deep breaths has helped me with the tightness.
Remember that the end justifies the means and the hardest part is over! Also, you're not alone. We're all here to support and encourage you. :)
