How it works
- Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
- This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
- Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
- Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.
If you have questions or believe we should re-evaluate a published review, let us know.

Anyone surgery with Dr. Kolb 28th June?
So excited, my surgery is scheduled for 28th June. I have to fly out by myself. Is anyone there too so we could support each other?
2 years with implants - health implications - they have to go
Hi there
been reading through they forum non stop since I found this place. So far I was in denial about the health consequences of my implants.
I had them placed 2 years ago in Feb 14 in Munich. I went from an A ) cup to a medium B) cup. The result looks great BUT the health implications are not.
I had my first panic attack (thought I was going to die) only 2 days later - it was almost as if I realised after the operation what I had done to myself. There was no joy or elation. There was pure fear of potential health hazards. I
6 months post OP my fingers started swelling and being "hot" - at night my hands started falling asleep, my body more and more felt inflamed. My existing thyroid condition (Hashimotos) got worse. I went to see a lot of functional medicine doctors and with a super clean diet (no gluten, dairy) and tons of supplements I am now feeling stable, no inflammation. I have noticed a massive drop of energy in the afternoons - so that I often have to take a short nap which never happened before.
I knew 6 months after the operation - and now reading your stories for sure: the silicone implants have to go. The sooner the better. I still try to stay calm and not panic. I have become a real hypochondriac over the last 2 years and really need to be careful not to read too much "horror stories" BUT there is a balance between being informed and reading too much that is good for me.
I am so grateful for this site. Those many people I spoke to about my "mysterious illness" - never seemed to understand. I sometimes brought it up and ask the doctors straight whether the implants could be the problem and nobody really acknowledged it. With the information available to me now, never would I have them placed again.
I had them done after years of low self esteem about almost no breast at all - but after I had them placed my happiness increase did NOT match my breast increase. I almost felt like "cheating" with those beautiful, yet surreal breasts. I can not wait to have them taken out.
I am looking for a doctor in the bay area near San Mateo / San Francisco (I guess it is VERY important to have the surgeon nearby as there are a few visits involved) - so far I had a consultation with Dr. Weston. She seems very professional and good and I would totally trust her, but she is incredibly expensive. So I will look further.
I am looking forward to hearing from you.
Many greetings

Hi there, so glad I found this forum. Finally I...
Hi there, so glad I found this forum. Finally I feel like my "symptoms" I feel since I have my implants placed 2 years ago are not crazy. I could write so much more.
I have to have them removed. My health has been "funky" ever since.
A) Any recommendation for a good surgeon
B) do I have to have the scar removed too? (my implants are under the muscle)? My first consultation (Dr. Weston) who has excellent reviews feels scar removal is not necessary. Please let me know!
Thank you so much
