45 Year Old with Severe Disatasis, Tummy Tuck with Lipo - San Jose, CA

4 month update - not so happy :-(

WORTH IT$12,000
I'm not totally satisfied with my results. I have a lower buldge on my lower right side that has been present from the moment I had surgery. I'm not flat either. My stomach still hangs if I bend over as well.
My diet is completely healthy, only organic meats and veggies. I have even done whole30 trying to reduce ANY possible inflammation with little bloat reduction.

You and I have very similar pics. I had mine 9/18/14 and I wish I would have had lipo I too have complaints of a small pooch and areas that while flat left me wider than before. I eat clean and workout 4-5 times a week which of course increases the swelling.i was told to wait until the 6 month mark before considering lipo; my thing is why didn't we just do it all in one shot? Now I need to plan for and budget for another procedure....
I just saw your post. I am having extreme swelling like you. Feeling for you. Hope things are a little better. You're not in this alone. Blessings. It will get better.
Looking good so far. Give it some time. The stomach hang when you bend over May not go away. Mine still does too but I didn't want a vertical tummy tuck insteas of the horizontal tuck. Can only pull the skin down. Not tighten the sides. it will get better :-)
Did you do a full TT with muscle repair and Lipo? I did 11 days ago all three. My waist is still pretty thick, due to swelling, but I think they say it takes 6 months up to a year to get the final result. The selling seems to be worse on everyone in the lower abdomen. I think you look great!
Swelling I meant to type
I'm not sure how to answer correctly because I don't honestly know if I had a full or a partial done. My main goal was muscle repair because it was so severe. Lipo as well. My Dr said I didn't have much skin to remove and in the end he pulled down and removed less than an inch in thickness. I think this is where my problem is to be honest. I think I would have seen great results if I had done a vertical TT.
It's been 9 months and with diet and allot of exercise I've been able to get it flatter than before. Many women will get immediate flat results, I'm not one of them. I'll update my profile with pictures soon.
Best of luck to you!

3 weeks, 3 days

What a difference a week makes! Last week I was uncomfortable and would tire easily. This week I'm much more comfortable, I move faster and overall not as sore. I still feel "thick" and swolen but I do see some improvement. I'm worried my final result won't be as flat as I hope. It's hard to imagine what I will look like stil. Trying to stay positive- baby steps right?

It's ok. Having surgery like this is like having a baby it's sometimes hard for us to see ourselves afterwards. We now going thru the healing process! *hugs* baby steps!

Hi all, I finally did it and so far I'm pleased!...

Hi all,

I finally did it and so far I'm pleased! I'm a 45 year old mother of two older kids. Truthfully my disatasis became more severe about 6 years ago and gradually to the point where it was hard to live with. I'm healthy, work out often, runner and overall healthy eater. I searched and found a great Dr and had my surgery. My scar is pretty low and I can probably hide it eventually. I had drains for 3 weeks and after their removal the swelling was the worst, and I've been battling that daily. Feeling positive but can't wait to see my final results! I wished I had better before pictures because truly they don't show how bad it was.
